Should boys be allowed to be playing with dolls and girls playing with cars as growing up? What do you say? I say no. A boy should be raised masculine until he becomes a man and a girl should be raised feminine until she becomes a woman. Otherwise they'll grow up to be gay, cross dressers, trans, etc. I grew up with brothers so was tougher. I was more of a tomboy growing up playing with them constantly but now so feminine guys are scared to drive my car and stuff And sure you might say that they still might become that. Well, it'll be their choice later and they'll at least be raised knowing it's against nature and will be ridiculed.

Boys should not wear heels! Playing with the right toys, or not to wear heels, not to paint face for boys - is the part of our history and culture. Even in ancient caves we can find hand-made dolls. Only stupid modern culture allows kids play with weird stuff. I can't agree with some of that strange comment here which claims of 'no parenting' in the questions of toys. I think that kids can be fooled if we let them alone. Have you read "Lord of the Flies" by Golding. He wrote about company of lost children in the island. What can we see there in that situation - children organized some kind of nazi camp. The art of parenting isn't in 'leave children by themselves' but in helping them to become decent people. Are you with me, Diamond?

Are you with me, Diamond? Kids won't know anything if they're not taught. There are reports of parents locking up their kids all their lives who can't function normally. It's really sad. And that was a good book. I had to read it in high school for a class

Elizabeth So, you agree with me, right? - Certainly, they will not know what we want them to know. Allowing children to be what they want is to explain them what is going on everywhere. Breaking every connections with our culture and history equals to put children in the darkness. So, I think it is stupid to not think about children's toys. The toys are not just a piece of junk, they have their own history. We can find some books about it. I'm sorry, I can't post here any, because I don't know authors by their names, but I do know that some of that books exist. Partly, the essence of the subject we can find in the books of history which is celebrated the question about family traditions of parenting. Therefore, toys are something that has to be guessed by parents before their child's plays with them. Making of good toys are something similar to make good riddles for them, or creating wonderful and charming lullaby, or arranging their education. But, I think here the subject can be divided into different types of toys. We were discussing of possibility to allow children change their toys (which oriented by gender), but came to types of toys (i.e. I came to it). Anyway, regardless of their purposes, every toys must be done well and good. And the last one thought means that toys also are oriented for culture in general, and for a family in particular, but parents choose and correct types of toys for their children by themselves. And finally, it means the toys ought to be controlled, and children have to be taught.

They're not going to be born knowing how to read, how to write, how to speak, or anything. Parents are there for a reason. To teach these basic things to a helpless human being.

Children are to easily molded by parties who do not have their nor your own best interest in mind. If my son was playing with dolls in k-3rd with girls he was friends with/crushing thats fine, if hes playing with dolls with other dudes, he gets homeschooled effective immediately.

What if the first scenario makes him into...well you know that one guy who's always with the girls...going shopping, talking about make up, hair, etc. Or you don't know what I mean?

Children are copying grown-ups from their circles of relatives. So, playing among girls with dolls don't mean to play a girl role, because a boy, for example, can play a role of 'papa', while girls are playing 'mamas'. Dumb scenarios happen only in immoral families which has abnormal control at their children. For example, I would say that Kim Kardashian's, or Paris Hilton's children would be more 'confused' and 'weird', than Tom Hanks's, or Samuel Jackson's ones.

I would say it's true in most cases. We watch 'wrong' children in families where the child is allowed everything, or the child uses to copy its spoiled parents.
