Hmm!! where are from roots in the male line? Poland?? My mother's entire family is Polish, but my paternal grandfather was born in Il'nytsya, Zakarpattia Oblast, Ukraine, so very close to Poland. When he left, it was called "Aloncza," and still part of Hungary. He identified as Carpatho-Rusyn. |

Hello All, I was doing some family research and have discovered my lineage follows the haplogroup I-M253 as well, however my fathers lineage back to about 1880ish is English and my mothers lineage is Mainly Northern Dutch. I see another I-M253 is Slavic, could be possible that further back a central or eastern european migration / influence but I havn't been able to go back that far.
