If you could give one piece of advice to a student, what would it be?

I have students. This is what I tell them.
Do your homework or you'll have a hard time in my class!

I promise my students like me. They like not getting more work to do as their punishement and instead compete for better grade than the kid next to them we even keep score on white board xD

Before I became a student there were some guys who gave me some advises, and I was very thankful to them about their advises. Now probably none of my attempts to simply having a talk with many of them ends not very good. Internet is the friend of theirs, they don't need in advises of elder 'comrades' anymore. So, there're plenty of advises I would give, but I hesitate about the correctness of them, because of some circumstances.
Even concerning today's position of something, I think many things will stay as they are. 1) Read books. 2) Schedule your time. 3) Be active.
I think these advises are enough. For details, they need to ask more.

I'd suggest using a journal or calendar to plan each week in a general sense, and then to fine-tune time management by writing a to-do list every morning, with the commitment to complete at least 3 of the tasks on it before the day ends.
This helps me because I know everything that's coming at me for the week, and I only aim to complete 3-5 of my to-do list tasks because I usually put too many on it, which isn't a big deal since I can just look at the incomplete tasks and know what to do the next day. This helps keep me on track and focus on small goals every day.

I've been using it for about a year or so, I guess. I wasn't disciplined at all until graduate school (the past 2 years). I guess I got my priorities straight, haha.

I'm guessing was something you developed because of school? Yes. More specifically, the to-do list method I use was developed to make my time management organization less confusing. Before this, I would just write a lot of "to-do" stuff down in my journal. It was annoying, and I found sticky notes on my desk to be much more encouraging than tasks written on some journal stowed away in my bag.

Understand that the perfect world most people seek shall never come to pass.
Build a foundation of beliefs, philosophical, societal, economical, and so on and stand by them.
Follow what interests you and brings you fulfillment
Be the change you want to see in the world
Follow your desires
Read, study, learn, and research, educate your mind.

If you could give one piece of advice to a student, what would it be? My advice would be: don't study, have party all the time, do drugs, meet people and whatever you do enjoy your time until you quit your studies
