The Battle of Stalingrad (23 August 1942 – 2 February 1943) was a major confrontation of World War II in which Nazi Germany and its allies fought the Soviet Union for control of the city of Stalingrad (now Volgograd) in Southern Russia.

I will say to this thread. Battle of Stalingrad is amazing war in the history, I will tell you why because, when Hitler though that he can defeat Stalingrad, suddenly it was utterly failed that it was difficult to sent reinforcement from Germany. In the Stalingrad, there were a million of German soldiers against a million Soviet Armies, 8,000+ included artillery, tanks, and aircraft within German and Soviet which was the biggest war area ever for 2 years than any battle in D-Day, Normandy, Warsaw, any region that was battle against Germany enemies. So, German soldiers had no way to won the war over Stalingrad. Only if Japan could have help them to fight against Soviet to prevent reinforcement train from aircraft bombers instead bombed on Pearl Harbor. Thats's my though.

Right, even Hungary too. They were far poor axis in WW2. I can't even image how Japan fought China, USSR, USA, Britain's territories. I forgot to mention about Kwantung Army.
