Hey, I'm a Hellenistic Buddhist (aka a Buddhist that worships Greek gods), and I was just wondering if there were any other pagans in here. If you happen to be one, I'd love to hear about what you practice. Peace!

No hinduism is modern construct. I thought pagan means worshipping a war Lord who is known to be the guardian of ones ancestor. I mean in philosophical sense. Neverthelesss I have wrong notions about this. Traditional Hinduism and all its orientations are attributed to paganism! Minor though, rest apart, today's diety are not WAR LORDS. And also, all these war lords were indo-european . These hindus worship all the lords of indo-european civilizations.

Something that contradicts Biblical concepts! Only if these war lords are associated with hinduism of today. The hindus are being made to worship those who are not theirs under the name of religion and spirituality.

You worship a god of lightning and war, any others? Usually when it comes to these kinds of gods you generally have a balanced opposing one of say, fertility or peace. If not: how does this lead you through life? (not saying it doesn't I'm just curious as to how that works) I also worship Tura, who is the equivalent of Tengri, and Ama, who is the Earth Mother and is associated with Earth's nature.

What is "pagan"? Originally, a pagan god or spirit was a god of a village or of a country district (Latin "pagus"). So, the religion practiced by country people could be called "pagan". In Christian times, a pagan religion was any non-Christian religion. As for "religion", it was any belief (doctrine) and any practice (liturgy) that is related to some deity. So, the worshipping, praising, or imploring of a god is a religious (liturgical) activity. However, for instance the Greek religion had certain practices (rituals) which were non-liturgical. Indeed, the "Eleusinian" Mysteries (rituals) were based on an idea that we call "sympathetic magic": by acting like a god or goddess (as by re-enacting the god's life), one acquires divine characteristics, such as immortality. The Mysteries in question were re-enacted at Eleusis (Near Athens) and in many other parts of the Greek World. The "mystics" imitated the life of Kore (Demeter's daughter) and of Dionysos, and consumed bread and wine, that is, the body and the blood of these deities. By assimilating the deities, they acquired divine characteristics. This ritual (the Eucharist) is preserved in the Orthodox and Catholic Christian churches. Of course, the {Greek} writers of the Gospels made Jesus say in the Last Supper:Eat my body; drink my blood... for you to procure eternal life.
