Christ says that he must die in Jerusalem. Peter rebukes him and tells him it will not happen. Many believers would have thought that Peter was the one speaking, but whom does Christ rebuke in return? Matthew 16:21-23
Satan can impersonate humans and use them against other humans and manages to get away with it most of the time because of their ignorance. You will think that it is your friend, brother, teacher, pastor, or parent talking to you, when in fact it is the devil or one of his demons speaking through them.
That friend who suggests to you in passing that you try some drugs, that stranger who speaks in passing about you being too uptight, that you should loosen up, that ever so elusive whisper which you can never quite trace back after you have stumbled, is most likely from the devil just using another individual who has availed themselves by entertaining certain thoughts, or actions.
Satan used Peter who was a disciple of Christ for a split second, except Christ caught him and responded to Satan, not Peter. So imagine how humans were dealing with his deceit all these while before Christ’s advent on earth and exposing the kingdom of darkness and their mode of operation.
1 John 4:1-3 is not about salvation but how to determine if the individual speaking to you is speaking by an evil spirit or not
Imagine what happens when the leader of your nation is being impersonated by Satan which Satan has done numerous times in the past. 1 Corinthians 2:8
None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Evil spirits can fill your mind with thoughts that may seem like your own thoughts and usually, these are blasphemies according to their nature. They can make it seem as if God is talking to you.
