Is it true to test my might, all I have to do is fight?

Examine your character in times of defeat this is the most accurate way I know Do you mean, like in the boxing? The less times a boxer falls down the ring, the stronger he is?

Examine your character in times of defeat this is the most accurate way I know Do you mean, like in the boxing? The less times a boxer falls down the ring, the stronger he is? No i mean like when a person works for a company for 25yrs and has all this savings in the company stocks and they go under 5yrs before retirement and they lose everything and then there wife leaves them and one of there kids die kind of situation Most people test a persons character by asking them their opinion while they're on the top of the world and anybody's going to be able to sound like they have integrity and have a philosophical framework that correlates to successful healthy outlook on life while they're on the top but it should be obvious because they're on the top, it doesn't actually show their true integrity and character, but when they hit rock bottom, how they respond to hitting rock bottom and their opinion on life in that moment, that is when you actually get an honest reading of somebody's integrity and character. I've seen so many people that act like Alan Watts mixed with Hercules when they're on the top but they turn into a really crappy worthless individual when they hit rock bottom And I've seen the average Joe when he's doing good turn into an even better person with more wisdom when they hit rock bottom moral of the story is that you can't judge a person while they're doing good and get a true accurate reading but you can when their knuckle dragging the pits of hell with Sisyphus.

i should add that when a person talks about their might to me there's more to might than just physical strength that's actually only a small part of it there is mental resilience and character that makes up the majority of a person's might and the physical strength aspect is just a cherry on top. Or were you specifically only talking about physical strength?

I wish I knew English better, because each comment of yours isn't just a message, but something more. Something inspiring. I noticed, that when a person writes something sincerely and wise, to read it for guys like me, who wants, but can't speak English well, this turns into a wish to memorize such comments. Good thoughts are something that are needed to be written and rewritten. Unfortunately, I'm unfamiliar with Alan Watts; I'm going to check it, anyway. Your words perfectly describe the true one, not a waggy-baggy test. Not to be a man of your own bare knuckles, but be a man with a grey mass betwixt the ears with knuckles ready to dance specifically. I mean, a good worker can fix electricity, repair a car's engine, etc, and the same is in many fields – to be where you're needed to be, and to act rationality and smart, watching each your step in front of you. Personally, I am very disappointed of many people. To think, they spend their lives for purposeless things, and blame the others for that. Jon Doe yells at Richard Raw, and RR keeps doing the same toward Clive Crow...

Well, there is a huge difference between a deliberate test, and accidents of fate.
Maya makes many good points regarding fate, but if you just want a specific test that a person can take, then I would suggest the game of cricket.
Because its about presence of mind in a moment of intense action. A cricket ball can really hurt, but if you keep your wits about you, then you can always dodge or hit it.
Cricket demonstrates the extent to which fear of pain dominates the mind. Those that fear the most, observe their surrounds worse, and get hurt a bit.
I've known boxers that consider cricket too dangerous, which is absurd. Cricket is a far greater test of your reflexes than getting punched in the face, considering the damage to the head.

I like how everyone is trying to have this deep serious conversation about this but the original post is just making a Mortal Kombat reference . I know this because 1. anyone who played Mortal Kombat immediately gets the reference, and 2. he made another Mortal Kombat-related post explicitly referencing the game at almost the exact time he made this. And Eugene's just like, "yeah this has evolved into an interesting conversation so I'll just go along with it." Anyways, to truly test your might you have to shatter a block of solid diamond with a karate chop or you'll embarrass yourself in front of lord Raiden.
