A lost tradition, it seems many problems in society can
be avoided if more people understood Freudian concepts.
Now much of Freudian ideas, are in fact neo-Freudian
in that his work was taken beyond his initial concepts.
It vital to see that Freud just provides a foundation;
his word is not sacrosanct.
But psychology without a solid grasp of the role of the
'subconscious' mind is just another obstructive bureaucracy.
To simplify what I mean, I will just describe a process
of anti-social socialization of the male mind specifically,
as regards trauma in the genital age of development
from about 5 to 6 years.
This is where males learn violence associated with the phallus.
Now that last idea needs to be looked at from every direction.
They can also not learn such!
Child-abuse of boys at this age manifests in symbolic
re-enactment of that childhood abuse later in life.
Thereafter such minds seek power in male symbols,
specifically guns or knives which then become
the means to dominate the 'other'.
If their abuser was female, such a child could become
a rapist, queer, or any other such variety;
but if the abuser is male, the child grows up to be
typical of cannon-fodder societies.
That is, armed with knife at first, then guns, cannons
and any other such phallic symbols,
you have the cause of war.
But war causes the trauma which ends up in the
parent subconsciously abusing the partner via the child.
So its a vicious circle, really.
But without such understanding,
the circle never ends.
