An idealist explains any fact as a fiction. He says that what we see is not what it is. Actually, a realist - a believer to facts - may agree with him, but just to check this situation again. The idealist won't stop; on each step he will doubt in any new evidence. And there is his false. He thinks his mind (or any other) is so-overpowerful that can be perfect and out-of-mistakes. Contrary to him, a realist doesn't think so, while not refusing it also. A realist may agree that the mind may be truly powerful, but he disagrees that it is the only truth. Unlike an idealist the realist has more options to choose what is true, or what is wrong.
If there were no facts we might do whatever we wanted to. No, we can't do all what we want to do. And this is why facts - the barriers for our actions - exist. Accoring to this fact our fantasies can be almost unlimited, however it works only against them.
