Have you heard about Brian Castro, a journalist or a reporter of town legends? He's believed to love somewhere in Virginia, but it's not really true. He was working as a freelance class journalist for temporary job. Most of material that Castro brought to different local news headquarters was about suspicious and hideous persons, brutal characters, maniacs, lunatics, whatsoever. He wrote about arsons, felony, slaughter, chilling and creeping cases, one of such was about Boogieman or Boogeyman (as preferable pronounced by many).
He disappeared all of the sudden. One day he's either flew away, or completely vanished, and nobody heard or seen him since then. Where did he go? What place he had chosen to hide, and why? There isn't a soul to find the answer on it, except of one thing, reported of his absence made by the office lastly he worded with, the day of vanishing was the day of the new article was published – about a boogieman.
I wonder how Brian Castro was gathering the material for his work? He talked to strangers on the streets? Were his night visits to different local individuals dangerous? Or maybe his style – the sarcastic style of the paperwork – was quite unpleasant for many? Who was raged at his work, and why he had no friends? Such a job to write about town legends wasn't safe.
