I like Septembers. I don't know why, just like them. Especially after having finished school. I was glad not to have any new lessons again, and it was pleasure to spend days walking a street by a street watching new pupils went with flowers (there's a tradition in Ukraine to bring flowers to teachers at the first day in school). I guess it became a month I felt free from school. I don't know what about the others, but I usually like when I don't need to school anymore. And if I have got free days in September I usually try to walk home and remember those previous days when I felt free from school.

I don't remember the tradition to bring flowers to the teachers but I was little when I lived and went to school in Ukraine so :Shrug But I like the tradition. In California here I feel that students often disrespect teachers. There were a few 13 year olds who were being mean and cussing at a teacher and the principal was right there and didn't care and just watched and listened. The teacher wasn't allowed to do anything either. Freedom of speech thing apparantely but it needs its limits like in that situation. Like if you dislike someone then just privately talk to them in an adult manner to settle it. There is no need to be mean to them in public when they're around people they know. Plain rude. Students need to be punished more and learn to respect their elders.

Students need to be punished more and learn to respect their elders. It's really bad that California students happen to be rude. It's not good, but I am sure it's going to be better. Times change. The rude and inappropriate behaviour won't be lasting forever. You know, even in Ukraine school (and I am absolutely sure this can be found everywhere in the world) rude and mean students happen. I got some in my school, and, you know, those mean girls, and mean boys from higher school also happen to be quite rude. I mean those, you know, the central girls and boys - the ones from football teams and from cheerleaders, so on. It's kinda widespread phenomenon. (There are plenty of such characters in movies as "Lucas" (1986), "Heathers" (1988), "Bring It On" (2000), "Mean Girls" (2004), "John Tucker Must Die" (2006), and so on, where tough guys or tough girls possess all the attention in school, and everyone else is afraid of them.) By the way, these are my photos from my 1st grade - I'll put them into the 'Discussion Lounge' section: arktos.boards.net/thread/8496/photos-mine-junior-school
