If a person thinks, then he must have been aware of it Not being aware of it - is not thinking To be aware of thinking requires thinking This time this thinking requires another thinking of that thinking, And another, and another... and it goes on. Seems this process began somewhere, but it had never started. If that thinking started, a person has to be aware of that turn on, But if he hadn't thought about this before he couldn't have done it. Therefore, there's no thinking and thinking is impossible.

Hmmm I think ( ) that there needs to be a bit more separation in the mind process because it sounds like your counting just being alive and not being a vegetable brain as a kind of thinking I would say when we deliberately conjure things into our mind to focus on we can call that thinking But what about those things that pop into our mind that we didn't try to conjure or don't even want for that matter what about the static commercials that so many people are plagued with mentally are those considered thinking as well? Or should we call every thought that we pay attention to rather that be in awe without an opinion or conjuring more details to it that we should call this thinking because I feel that when you have thoughts going through your mind that you don't pay attention to I don't consider that thinking. As far as your statement on how thinking is done, I have to disagree, I've thought about things many a times in my life and not realized I was thinking about them because I was too busy thinking about them, and I feel most people do this it's called concentration and we tend to block everything else out when we're focused concentrating on something the last thing I'm thinking about while I'm thinking is the fact that I'm thinking

This is exactly this point I was trying to say. I don't know much about this all stuff, how do we think or wha't going on in our heads, but yes, this is very interesting.

Being aware of thoughts, and creating an intentional thought dialectic with yourself are quite different.

Being aware of thoughts, and creating an intentional thought dialectic with yourself are quite different. But how something got into our minds? Let me give you this example: one wakes up, and tries to remember his dreams. What can he see and what can he tell? I think he can see what he is able to see by his ordinary sight, and I am sure he can tell or think only what is able to be spelled using language. One cannot see what he cannot see, and think like k#%@!... I mean - the gibberish.

That is not a thought which is above It came from your mind thus it is a thought. It exists in memory as well, thus is a thought.

memory works by association - very different from computer memory - those are polar opposites
a computer remembers best when the info is small but the mind remembers best when the info is detailed
trying to recall dreams that make sense is far easier than dreams that are chaotic so writing down dreams in a dream diary helps to connect them together and makes it easier to recall them
a few times i have woken in the middle of an amazing dream, then gone back to sleep to let the dream continue it can even go on the next night too
but how did anything get into the mind in the first place? thats like asking how did anything get on TV there are almost infinite ways just like there are infinite types of dreams wish-fulfillment, nightmares, prophetic, subconscious warnings
i must still formulate a list of all types of dreams some day
