Lone Wanderer In all honesty, I think I prefer the original textures. It's at least 15 years since I ceased to wish for higher resolution textures. I'm currently playing Metro exodus, and it's a good game, but that its graphics is far more detailed than that of Resident evil 4 doesn't make it more immersive.

My case's 'lmost the same. I mean the game looks better in GameCube mode. And it's okay.

I do like those speedruners or extreme-players who, for instance, can operate knife only.
But for the knife only I do like David from Resident Evil Oubreak and Outbreak File #2. That guy can do combo with knieves.
I like the way in RE4 with knife, and I do like that how that can be used for the Mercenaries.
Just look:

In my opinion, original textures and 30 fps is the best way to play RE4. Plus Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition (Steam version) looks fine and this mods is not really necessary unless you want to experience something new.

Yes. I tried a high resolution mod some years ago. It looked fine, but I thought the original low resolution textures fitted the game's atmosphere more.

True, I agree with you. Same thing applies to frame rate (FPS): "Some games may not be optimized for higher frame rates and may cause noticeable glitches (particularly with simulated physics) the more the frame rate increases. Many games therefore employ a frame rate cap, but others have one (usually at 30 or 60 FPS) for no discernible reason; this is particularly common in ports."-- www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Glossary:Frame_rate_(FPS)

Anyway, I wouldn't mind to see RE4 remake. The original game's plot was crap, honestly. "The president's daughter kidnapped", "Leon is a special unit officer"... Leon was a rookie in RE2 and the government's involvement in the previous series didn't take a part, but instead the corporatocracy and the war within the Umbrella corp was there. Only what scares me is that the changes into the game mechanics; it was awesome by any means at the time.
