Ever had like a gut feeling where it turned out to be true? Some say if it happens a lot it can be supernatural. Stuff mediums, fortune tellers, dreamers, and the like deal with. What is your opinion on this?

Nothing supernatural about it. It's science. Your gut is your "second brain".

Quite earlier I made a topic about that naming it "Intuition". When I was a kid acts of intuition happened much more comparaly to times I became a grown-up. I guess this is a good when a person doesn't waste this feeling. This is an important one.

What is your opinion on this? Sometimes a gut feeling is verified, but most of the times, it isn't. When I used go play lotto, sometimes I had the strong feeling that I as going to win. Others have the same experience, but the win does not happen. {Gamblers lose fortunes because of gut feelings.] In other situations, one may actually have what Eugene called an intuition [into something plausible] and what is felt actually happens. // Good luck! //

Is it still just a feeling or more?

Is it still just a feeling or more? I would say that it is still just a feeling, even though the occurrence of such a feeling is problematic. Anyway, I recognize it in different phenomena, such as 1. the Deja vu, 2. premonitions, 3. superstitions [that something is occurring, or existing, or causing something to happen, while there is no evidence for the strong/gut feeling. And 4, the feeling of certaintly about something that is evident, E.G., that the person who is driving is my known Mr. So-and-So; or that the mathematical calculation that I made and I am reviewing is correct. In all situations, what is it that brings about a feeling of CERTAINTY? That's the question.......

Do you think that feeling of certainty comes from the person alone or from some outside factor?

In all situations, what is it that brings about a feeling of CERTAINTY? That's the question....... Maybe that is where it leads to then. Do you think that feeling of certainty comes from the person alone or from some outside factor? Idon't think there is an answer for all situations/cases in which certainty is felt. Anyway, the experience of certainty is like the experience of logical NECESSITY in the conclusion of an argument. E.G. "If it is the nature of an animal to move itself, and a star is moving itself [rather than by being pushed], then -- necessarily -- the star is an animal", even though it does not have legs and it is not moving on a ground. I am sure/certain that this star is an animal, even though I do not believe or judge that it is an animal in the sense of: living, fit for generation, grown by absorbin water and food from the environment. )This example illustrates the fact that a gut feeling is not necessarily a conviction about what something is or what will happen. The experience of a necessary implication is a mental event, not something caused from the outside. On the other hand, the firm belief in something may be due to an external causation or... to a forceful wish. Wishful thinking can be ipnotic.
