I'm starting to feel really out of the loop. Haha
It's really weird to see so many religious people on one website. I'm so used to secularist forums/websites.

Well I am the most anarchic chaotic free minded religious person that ever walked the earth. Or so it seems.

I am reactionary/religious. I am banned almost everywhere else, so where else am I supposed to go? Because the majority are liberal/non-religious and because these people are intolerant of conservative/religious people, conservative/religious people will go to the few forums that tolerate them/us.

I am a Christian Conservative to the point where I often feel like a man out of time. It seems that I hold values that society has mostly discarded since the 1960s. I only hope that the disgusting values of this generation fails as it inevitably will and causes an extreme reaction that turns society in a very socially conservative direction like how the Victorian Era was a reaction to the libertine 18th century. Another Victorian era would be nice actually.

The left-wing is quite intolerant. I guess it would make sense that this forum would attract many conservatives. I am a Christian Conservative to the point where I often feel like a man out of time. What did you like about the Victorian era?

Another Victorian era would be nice actually. Haha yeah things have changed very much. What do you hate about the values of this generation? Are there things you can appreciate? What did you like about the Victorian era? Well, I hate the atheism of my generation the most. It seems when I was growing up, all of my peers believed in God but as they got older they decided that they hated the idea of an all powerful God holding them accountable for their behavior and they deluded themselves into thinking he didn't exist. I hate the morality of my generation almost as much. It seems that they see themselves as nothing but animals and they act like it being promiscuous and sexually degenerate. Things like homosexuality and drag queen story hour are being normalized and polygamy and pedophilia seems to be next. I hate that my generation holds tolerance over every other value. Some things are evil and should not be tolerated. I also hate how effeminate my generation is. There's this ethic that says that someone's feelings are the most important thing to respect and if you don't respect them you should be canceled, censored, or persecuted even though you are speaking truth in the face of insanity. I hate how things that are self evidently insane like mutilating your body to look like the opposite sex because you think you've been born in the wrong gender, or giving hormone blockers to children because they think the same, or thinking that there's a trillion different genders when there are only two are being accepted by many of my peers. I hate how my generation spits on their own heritage, culture, religion, ancestors, history, and civilization and even their own bloody race, the color of their skin! We stand on the shoulders of giants and my generation has the gall to spit on and demean these giants that they owe everything to. Furthermore hating your own tribe is not virtuous, it is the opposite of virtuous. I hate how my generation embraces extremist ideas like communism on the left and fascism on the right showing a complete ignorance of history or a lack of caring about their fellow man and I don't really know what's worse between the two. I hate my generations garbage music, garbage art, garbage architecture, and garbage fashion. There's so much more to talk about so I'll leave it there. The only thing that I can appreciate about my generation is that they are not ashamed of liking things they liked as a child and they aren't ashamed of liking nerdy things. As for the Victorian Era, that was a time where society was militantly Christian, militantly patriotic, proudly capitalist, proud of their own ancestors and civilization, had a healthy sense of morals and decency, and in reading Victorian thoughts and ideology they seemed to have a very grounded and sensible view of reality, of what is civilized and what is barbaric. Rudyard Kipling's "The Gods of the Copybook Headings" I think summarizes what I admire about this era. I think that the two world wars destroyed Victorian culture and replaced it with cancerous modernism and post modernism.

Clovis MerovingianThanks for your detailed response! I don't agree with everything, but I definitely sympathize with many of the things you said. I am very worried about the communist/fascist ideologies coming about, along with the rejection of capitalism. The 20th century really was a turn to the worst after those wars. Very evil and destructive. I'll have to check out the Rudyard Kipling's book because I don't know much about the Victorian era.

Before I joined here three years ago and a year after I was an atheist. You can ask about it any other elder members. O don't think I'm completely conservative; I'm more liberal, than conservative. The reason I don't wanna mess with the liberals in that I don't believe the modern liberals share liberal ideas.

I don't like to see religion as a yes/no question. I have lots of beliefs, practices, opinions, whatever just because I don't believe in a higher power and I _HATE_ categorizing myself it rules out the, quite "christian" I realize, side of my being?

Well I am the most anarchic chaotic free minded religious person that ever walked the earth. Or so it seems. You like a Cossack, a person who sees freedom as the most worth thing! (By the way, some of Cossacks were anarchists, but in not that destructive sense of word, but true Kropotkin or sorta anarchists. I think that in my past life I was a Cossack.

jonbain So you're a lefty economically? But on the right socially? The terms left and right have no meaning to me in this society. They originate from the French revolution. On the right of the speaker were those that supported the monarchy, the left supported la révolution - republicans.
My economic position is that money has been degraded from a means to trade, and turned into a means of fascist control. I do have a better plan, based on fish.
Socially, I adhere to the 10 commandments, and do my best to emulate Christ's example. But if that is just not practical, then I have to resort to my Viking roots, and clobber the hypocrites and nihilists.
Laws that are not reducible to the 10 commandments are idols. To be happily smashed without fear or favour. Half those I know say I am radical left, the other half say I am radical right.
But I am really a poet and cosmologist.

Cossacks are vikings on horses? My legs cannot open wide enough to ride a horse (or even a bike). My simplistic understanding of the world is that europeans are culturally, either Vikings or Romans. Freedom or hierarchy. All else are just Romans in disguise.

No, I wouldn't compare them to vikings, but it can be done. More often I've heard them being compared with Spartans, but more drunk ones =) The freedom of a Cossack was everything. Plus to it, they all were Christians. Anyone who had wanted to be in a circle of Cossacks (as it was called "Sich", Ciч - in Ukrainian) must be a Christian (the actual Cossacks asked a new recruit to make a cross or to cross oneself, and to tell a prayer Our Father or some other Psalms (optional)).
