"idk but science one day will find out"
Couple that with:
"I don't have a belief system, I just look at the facts. But I have unshakeable faith in that the scientific and technological development will continue indefinitely and never stagnate."

Have your views changed on this Eugene? You had this weird spell a few days ago when you started posting anti religious stuff and changed your region in your profile to atheism before taking it down.

Thank you Clovis, that you've noticed it. You know I would say it was kind of blur of my mind. I don't know, I really regret about this. I guess I was rage and tired; I wouldn't defend myself, no it was my fault... I wish God will have mercy on me... :(

Anyways, glad you got over it.

Our entire modern world is very complex and takes some serious effort to make function and it's very interconnected. Something could happen to cause our society to collapse and send the whole world into a dark age and most of our scientific knowledge could easily be lost.

There is no way of escaping the human need for God. A human being knows that he is incapable of sustaining life. Therefore he needs to turn to a higher power for support and protection. Those who believe in science have done nothing more than establishing science as their God.

Those who believe in science have done nothing more than establishing science as their God. I do agree with that. At the same time there are some postmodern philosophers who think that it's the wrong direction to think like this, and they object it claiming that it's "the mirror effect" that looks like a misconception or kinda, and that this view is shared commonly among European thinkers. Ao instead they propose to not take anything at the center, not worshipping anything, and so on. One of such philosophers is Richard Rorty.

What i wanted to say is that disbelieving in God in practice does not necessarily mean totally discarding the idea of a higher power to which all creations turn for sustenance, at least at the level of awareness.

The reason why the post-apocalyptic theme has been so prevalent in literature, movies, and computer games the past two decades, is that the collective subconscious has for long sensed the looming danger. I see no bigger threat to the world than humanity attempting to play God with itself, which the current scientific paradigm provides a rationalisation for.

What i wanted to say is that disbelieving in God in practice does not necessarily mean totally discarding the idea of a higher power to which all creations turn for sustenance, at least at the level of awareness. But those philosophers addressed this kind of feeling to just one of many others feelings. I mean they look at philosophy /and religion/ as a sort of literature. And mainly they objected that "the centered object" much, because they saw in that - the higher power, the center, the authority, or kinda - some of dictatorship's presence. From my point of view, I don't deny neither the idea of God, nor the feeling of the higher power, but I do sympathy, being a Christian, that God is rather a friend. And saying this I don't want to say that God doesn't have authority or kinda, but I want to say that God is rather expecting us to love Him, than to be afraid of Him.
