Barely and only if a games has a challenge, reward, or achievement for finishing it in less than N minutes. I'm a longplay and completionist gamer. I enjoy exploring and 100%'ing.
However I see speedrunners and speeruns as an important group and content in gaming universe. You can learn many things from them.

Remember something of the history, a pretty one, and very sad. And I had read all tragedies of Shakespeare in two days. That is my best, haha. You've speedrunned the life itself! (^_^) I had similar experiences reading fast Goethe's "Faust" when was a pupil.

I have some speedruns, but as a fair (I forgot the right speedruner's jargon of it...). I did Manhunt the first, and the second game in comp. I don't remember scores, but some later levels in games were beaten less than three minutes. I speedrunned "Call of Cthulhu: D.c.o.t.e" within 1.5 hours. The rest I don't remember, because all it was long ago. And, you're right, I also was fond of exploring. By the way, Hitman series are what I adore to explore. Unfortunately I couldn't beat any modern records then, because I had no idea of sliding. I cannot understand even now how to do it. Do you know? (They say to push W and S one by one quickly.)
