Have you tried any of the other remakes, like that of resident evil 2? I haven't decided whether to buy it yet.

No. They are not my taste especially RE3 Remake. Watch these stuff. Might be helpful for you especially if you love the original RE2 and RE3:

I glanced at the videos, but since I might get the games one day, I wanted to avoid seeing a lot of gameplay. Usually, such games aren't really for me, since I need there to be some strategic element to a game in order to really like it. Just the experience of shooting zombies, even if it's with a good story line, is not really enough. However, a good game is a good game irregardless of the genre, and I can imagine that I'd enjoy such games in the same way as I can enjoy eating fast food every now and then. Resident evil 4 did have a strategic element to it when it came to its weapon upgrade system, which to me added greatly to the game. In addition, everything about it, from story line to combat, worked. There were no boring missions, nothing ever felt repetitive, and the graphics was more appealing to me than that of most newer games.

I played RE4 about four years ago. I wanted to have completed the game with knife only (including some pistol using where is very necessary: Salazar's fight, for instance).
I did it, but not feeling satisfaction.
Actually I played only in old games. I hate modern games.

Did you complete it on expert difficulty level?
I dislike most games from this decade, but there are some noble exceptions, such as witcher 3 and Fallout 4.

No, the expert was too difficult, because it was my first experience. I'd been trying to get over 60 000 (or 6 000? I don't remember the correct number) in the Mercenaries mode, and I did it on some stages. Krauser is good to practice, because his knifing is very powerful, and his add-actions (I mean the hit after damaging someone; when it's needed to push a button to strike some the villagers, or monks, or the soldiers). Leon I like most because of his human-ish style of knifing. His movement are more natural. (Being a early tweenager, I did all to be look like Leon: did my hair, bought similar clothes, etc. And I practiced rolls, leg attacks, and so on. Unfortunately, most of those movements I did pretty awful.) The Fallout is sooooooooooooooooooo widespread to be over-talked everywhere, so I guess I must play it at least once. I feel this game is a legend without any doubts. I'm just afraid to spoil it - I never played it before, so I don't know how it be accepted by me: good, or not good... I saw this game (at the beginning of the first level), and it seemed to me like an ordinary 2d game. It was like Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, or the Commandos, or Diablo (PS1).

When you refer to 60.000 points, you mean the mini games after the main game is completed. Correct? I played those on gamecube back in ancient times. I can't remember all the scores from the top of my head, but I think it was about 160.000 points on the first game that is set in the village. I didn't restrict myself to only use knife, though. I played some character whose name I can't remember, but I recall he had a sniper rifle.
Mods are the reason why I've played Fallout 4 for years. If you ever do play it, I would highly recommend the mod "The machine and her.". It's a fantastic quest mod. And also "Tales from the commonwealth.", which is a collection of quests, by a modder who's also the maker of "interesting NPC's", which, as the title implies, adds more interesting NPC's, including one companion and a bunch of settlers that you will encounter at different locations. Furthermore, "project Valkyrie" is another great quest mod.

Ada Wong surely had a sniper rifle. I doubt about the one and the only Alber Wesker, but probably he's one who can use it too. Yeah, 160.000 it's a huger, than I got whenever I played. I never wanted to get a score, rather than to learn how to use some weapons and tricks (and get the score using a relevant weapon). I suppose you played it on GameCube right? And because this platform I find to be awesome, I'm not surprised =) I did in on PC with some gamepads (I collected four of them. One has been out.) So, you recommend me to play from 4th already? Some guys I knew tried to convinced me to play in 1st, while the rest were persuading me to play in 3rd or 4th (I don't know remember exactly in what). If I started I probably chose the first game, it would be ok, wouldn't it? Why not to start from the first game in the series?

Ah, yes, I played as Wesker on gamecube. I later played it on PC, and with the help of some device from China, I could use my gamecube game controller. But it wasn't quite the same. It was easier to control the characters on gamecube than on PC, despite using the exact same controller.
I have also heard that earlier Fallout games are great, and some hail Fallout - New Vegas as the best of them all. Only problem is, I haven't played them myself, so I don't have a qualified opinion. I'm waiting for Fallout 4 - New Vegas, which is a mod that will probably not be done this year.
