Sexuality, Materialism and Dominance.
I read a short article on the benefits of celibacy for men (benefits for women is negligible) and observed a common core reflective theme reflected in all cultures ranging from Egypt to China to India and some rare portions of the west: the premise is simple.
1. Semen maintains the vital essence of man's life force.
2. The projection of this essence into someone or something makes that someone or something an extension of the man, thus "ownership". Ancient Egypt, and other cultures, would observe semen as having a "poisonous" nature in certain respects. On one hand it can create life, on the other it was used as weapon of territorial dominance thus acted as a double-edged sword best expressed with the act of reproduction.
3. This desire to project the self into someone or something is called "lust" which is a variation of "greed" in that both seek a projection of the self. This projection of the self, and its reception is called "ownership". A more positive example would be where a man "starts" a family and owns it in the respect of being a guiding figure. A more negative example would be the dominance of one man over another woman or man as a "marking" of territory.
4. The synthesis of the male essence with the female essence results in creation. This occurs biologically of course, but effectively abstractly as well where thetical and antithetical concepts (form and formless) are fused to created new concepts.
Thus gender is mental and emotional as well, not just physical or emotional. The active and passive nature of forms in nature also necessitates gender as having a distinct rhythmic nature within the universe as forms being assumed by and assuming forms.
5. The retainment of Male essence thus requires it to project inwards to the feminine side causing both a creation ideas and an integration with the formless unconsciousness allowing for a more "whole" individual.
This allows for a movement of focus away from material experiences into more internal ones, allowing for a deeper sense of self understanding and empathy as well as clearer one pointed projected focus.
It is thus with the increase sexualizing comes a corresponding increase in materialism as well as greed as a variation of it with each respectively looping through the other causing the other to magnify. With an integration of sexualizing comes a balance and movement away from materialism.
Thus materialistic cultures promote hyper activity, such as we see in the training of modern children, as it enables:
1. A continual desire for ownership of material goods (which keeps corporate interests in power).
2. Weakening of rational faculties through an emphasis on material values, thus easier manipulation.
3. Weakening of social bonds through hyper competition (ownership through dominance) leading to a divided group of people.
4. Increased aggression in women, as assimilating the essences of more and more men, as well as the weakening and effeminization of men by a depletion of their vital energies. A neutralization of the power of the lower classes.
5. Hyper egoism as self projection as well as the projection of values and judgements on others.
6. The inability to focus on anyone thing, thus an increase in ability to manipulate.
7. The inability to focus, or give form, effectively leads the individual to an unconscious mass directed by based desired, thus is pulled towards any larger power than itself and is determined by it.
