Weird question....but what are night flashes? How long they last? Why they happen? People just talk about them sometimes and I feel clueless

They're postmenopausal hot flashes that occur at night. These women get really hot for no reason in the middle of the night. My mother had and still has hot flashes after surviving cancer and the treatments for it.

No, it's a common postmenopausal thing for women. Any woman can get them.

I thought anyone could get them . So only limited to some women? I had them. They can result from an extreme in emotions, such as a nightmare or a very deep release of stress. But yeah, Clovis is right...they are just not limited to menopausal women only...it is just the majority of cases.

What flashes? Do you mean a sudden wake up from a nightmare or something? If this is it, I have them too time to time. Having seen a nightmare in my dream I usually wake and just stare at a corner of the room. Pretty horrible feeling. I feel like I'm being killed. I wonder what if every next time after my waking up I born again? Just like I was killed in real, and then I wake up again?
Similar idea was presented in Silent Hill: The Room pc game. Henry Townshand had had weird dreams since something weird happened to his apartment room. What happened there - it was a mystery that Henry needed to solve. Suddenly, he discovered his room locked from inside with massive padlocks and chains. This is a start point of the adventures. During the game Henry goes through "holes" (as portals to another mystery dimensions) like a child that is being born. Every time at his reaching the end of the tunnel he has a bright flash, and then he discovers himself being lay in his bedroom. So his awakening looks like "to be born again".
