Archaeologists in Egypt have discovered dozens of mummies in ancient desert burial chambers. Some 40 human mummies were uncovered in the province of Minya, south of Cairo, according to officials. Egypt’s Minister of Antiquities Dr. Khaled El-Enany said that the newly-discovered tombs likely belonged to a middle-class family. The mummies are different sizes and genders and at least 10 are children.

That's creepy and sad. I can understand a little if it was how they buried the dead but seems it was murder since we have kids there too. Sacrifices were very common back then. I think it's a harsh place to put the dead too. What do you all think?

I wanted to check some info on Ptolemeans branch in Rome, but didn't - it's better to wait for the latest archaeological news about this case.
