Another one
If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha. 1 Corinthians 16:22

The apostles disagreed that sinners don't go to hell? No they didn't disagree on that. They made that clear. They disagreed with each other. Scripture clearly states all sin, and the salvation of man is dependent upon God's mercy with all good works as an expression of faith necessary for salvation. God's people sin through absence of good works, absence of forgiveness (parable of man forgiven debt only to treat others without forgiveness) etc. I have not found any disagreements in God's word to people on how to live. But there are false apostles too who preached their own nonsense and disagreed. But their ways of living wasn't put in scripture for us to follow. Shrug

Paul told Peter to correct himself if he planned to follow Jesus. And Peter corrected himself. Jesus placed Peter in charge regardless, ahead of time. Christians, good and bad sin....period.

Paul separated from him is what I remember that happened last. And they do not. Paul died to sin daily.

Jesus setting Peter as the rock of the church, through which the gates of hell would not prevail, observes Peters salvation. Unprocessible Anger, unforgiveness, lust etc are all sins of the heart....just observing one of these thoughts or feelings one time is a sin.... Also scripture commands you to correct and forgive your Christian brother...this means good Christians sin too.

Dying to sin daily means sin is present as sin cannot die if it is not present.

Peter and Paul botg said the rock is Jesus. Peter is not important. He's just a person. But whatever we are different religions here. So let's agree to disagree.

But again we're different religions. Dying to sin means sin is present...one does not die to something not present...it could be a minor thought, word, deed...whatever.

I can also name my son Rock. Who cares?
