The team gathered a group of participants and asked them, in the initial stages, to fast for 2-4 days on a regular basis over a 6-month period. During this time, they witnessed some incredible changes. The participants saw a noticeable decrease in the production of the enzyme PKA, a hormone which has been associated with an increased risk of cancer and tumor growth. Furthermore, the immune system of the participants appeared to get a complete overhaul. I completely agree with this. I fast 2-4 days most weeks. I do this by setting a weight goal and then fasting until I reach the goal which usually takes 2 or 3 days. If I don't fast for a few weeks, I feel fat, lazy, and stupid. So this kind of fasting definitely works for me.

I completely agree with this. I fast 2-4 days most weeks. I do this by setting a weight goal and then fasting until I reach the goal which usually takes 2 or 3 days. If I don't fast for a few weeks, I feel fat, lazy, and stupid. So this kind of fasting definitely works for me. Seems like we got an agreement from a Jew, we are definitely heading in a right direction.

I can only like starve myself to death for like a day yeah me too . i was thinking the same thing... 3 days is a lot ,, especially those who have high metabolism ( physically active) they would end up getting cold sweats , headaches . The only way to safely implement is to be a lazy couch for at least 2 weeks so your metabolism drops down significantly, then before heading to such a fast ,, eating tons in the week prior.

I know skipping meals actually helped me save muscle mass in the long run.
Longest without food was three days and I would not recommend it.

i was thinking the same thing... 3 days is a lot ,, especially those who have high metabolism ( physically active) they would end up getting cold sweats , headaches . The only way to safely implement is to be a lazy couch for at least 2 weeks so your metabolism drops down significantly, then before heading to such a fast ,, eating tons in the week prior. You have this wrong. The whole point is to transition over to burning fat. For someone who isn't used to fasting, this would only start on day 3 and maybe take until day 5. This is because your body isn't used to switching over from food to your fat. My body is used to it, so it only takes a few hours on the second day for me. I feel it because I feel horrible during that time. After the switch, I feel fine. Also, I regularly exercise during fasting which speeds up the process. So again, the reason that you definitely would feel horribe on day 3 is because your body doesn't know how to burn fat. So you should probably fast about 5 days the first few times until your body learns to switch quickly.

So you should probably fast about 5 days the first few times until your body learns to switch quickly. yes i rather stay on primary source of energy which is carbohydrates ,, that what i did , when i was ripped for the most part of my life. i agree that it will kick in for me , probably on day 5 , but the rest holds true , i cant simply fast right away without having to face dire consequences which i mentioned above .. also to mention when body destroys the white cells , in the period of growth for new ones .. that transition period is very dangerous . its like u are virtually without an immune system. my body is well suited to burning fats when i play tennis and long distance runs.. but not under the circumstances u described which i completely agree and i will feel horrible on day 3 , having said that i would never fast owing to my workout routine . there is a thing called Catabolism , which i am sure u would know . i dont wana kick that in .. so fasting and exercising is a complete ridiculous notion for me . i have educated my family on nutrition and helped out many guys and girls, when they notice my performance in sports . Currently a young lad is under my training

ABSENCE of nutrition doesn't add up for me ,,, but glad it works out for u in some ways . I am not saying to continual with the regular intensity of your workouts, but rather absence of food counts as stress considering the muscles break down to lack of nutrition.
