What is the consensus on arktos of what an internet troll is? Does anyone think we have trolls here on our forum? This definition from wikipedia, "a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses and normalizing tangential discussion, whether for the troll's amusement or a specific gain." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll These definitions from urbandictionary.com, 1a) One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument. 1b) A person who, on a message forum of some type, attacks and flames other members of the forum for any of a number of reasons such as rank, previous disagreements, sex, status, ect. A troll usually flames threads without staying on topic, unlike a "Flamer" who flames a thread because he/she disagrees with the content of the thread. 1c) A member of an internet forum who continually harangues and harasses others. Someone with nothing worthwhile to add to a certain conversation, but rather continually threadjacks or changes the subject, as well as thinks every member of the forum is talking about them and only them. Trolls often go by multiple names to circumvent getting banned. www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=troll

"Troll" is label that people on forums apply to other people that they don't like. It is a typical American concept, a lie designed to insult people with different views.
The average member of a modern culture forum is just scum who has nothing of interest or value to say, who insults anyone who says anything of substance, and who joins with the other scum of the forum to ridicule everyone in the world who disagrees with the consensus of that forum.

Why you had to bring wikipedia definition? Troll is a person, who rants on something, which others don't accept. And troll always say I AM RIGHT, AND I WILL NOT CHANGE MY OPINIONS. They defy LOGICS.

With regard to the American concept of the term even became part of American policy...trolls and bots. Shrug

Well....time to break out the pitchforks and wooden clubs and sacrifice DK for the common good....yay violence! (in the form of cheap internet bickering amongst strangers). 1a) One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument. For some reason I laugh with it...well we're all trolls here in a good way..but there is D'Artagnan among us. ))

Here are 8 general points about trolls. 1. Serious trolls are immune to criticism and logical arguments. True trolls cannot be reasoned with, regardless of how sound your logical argument is. 2. Serious trolls do not feel remorse like you and me. They have sociopathic tendencies, and accordingly, they delight in other people having hurt feelings. 3. Trolls, in general, consider themselves separate from the social order. 4. Trolls do not abide by etiquette or the rules of common courtesy. 5. Trolls consider themselves above social responsibility. 6. Trolls gain energy by you insulting them. 7. Trolls gain energy when you get angry. 8. The only way to deal with an online troll is to ignore him or take away his ability to post online.
Here are 4 points that describe how trolls abuse others. 1. Trolls will post abusive and hurtful comments directed at a specific person (aka "flaming" another person) 2. Trolls will incite broad arguments and provoke angry responses by making controversial statements. (e.g. racism, religious intolerance, bigoted or elitist views, misogyny, extreme political views) 3. Trolls will narcissistically dominate conversations, trying to make themselves the center of attention. (e.g. nonstop comments about themselves and their accomplishments; repeated self-centered statements and bragging) 4. Trolls will start many off-topic threads, seeking to derail users from the focus of an online community.

I think you are confusing me being a troll with me just being "handsome, brilliant, wise, strong, humble, generous, philanthropic, funny, well-spoken, and being a billionaire with a massive penis, etc." In other words...don't be a hater...stop being a troll. If you wanted to cuddle...you could have just asked.
