I think everyone can universally agree that religious and racial segregation is something that can only make a given family, group or nation stronger. "Religious diversity" in this case leads to poor/violent parenting and a failed marriage.I can absolutely not agree to that. In any way. That is racism. That is the thought behind minds like Hitler. Even for the religious portion of it. Who are we to know anyone else's hearts? What creates the violence. What makes to Christian's exempt. It is exactly this sort of holier than thou thinking that Christ railed against. It is also this thinking that is causing many people to leave the church.

Many christians do though especially newer denominations protestant and liberal luteran churches, but in orthodox church you cant marry a non-christian. Reference: My signature The scriptures say, 1 Corinthians 7:12-14 12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. you misinterpret it in the early days many converted to christianity they were not already christians, so if they convert and have a husband or wife who didnt convert they should not divorce him or her, that makes sense because divorce is wrong in the bible for most reasons. but if you are single christian and look for a wife or husband you should marry another christian.

This thread reminds me of when I got married. I was atheist and my wife was Catholic. We had roughly this discussion:
her: Are you willing to marry in the church? me: Sure, why not? What do I have to do? her: You have to take Communion. me: What's that? her: Eat a wafer and drink some wine. me: Sure, if it tastes good. her: But the wafer is the body of Christ. me: I don't care what brand the wafer is as long as it tastes good. her: I don't think this is going to work.
I am no longer atheist and she is no longer Catholic. Now we both follow the Old Testament.
