A Trip

God is taking a drive with a car. So I stop Him to ask for a lift. On the journey, I find out where He is heading. Then I get to the place I was planning to alight. Then I was faced with the *choice*; should I alight here now? I got what I wanted. Or do I follow Him to His destination He speaks of? If I decide to go with Him then what must I do on the trip? Must I complain that it is too far? Must I trust? Must I tell Him to speed up or slow down?
How do I behave in a car or ✈ airplane going on a long journey? Do I shout out instructions to the driver or do I sit quietly? If I want to ease myself, does the driver decide when to stop after giving me a lift, or do I *act* like I own the car?
The lift was voluntarily undertaken. But rules are triggered. These rules are necessary to distinguish a lift from a jolly ride. A trip from a florist. A willful trip from a near kidnap. The one giving the lift must not feel like he is being used.
1. What is the car God is driving? 2. Can a passenger cause an accident? 3. How can you cause an accident? 4. Can God park the car and leave the passenger with the car?
