Homeless Man Works By Selling Fruits To Take Care Of Stray Cats It’s a common thing for people to say that those who have the least are often those who give the most. We find that people who have it the worst are still the ones with the most open hearts, willing to donate or help another in need. Loong Dum from Thailand is a shining example of this. According to The Pets Castle, Loong is a homeless man who finds shelter underneath one of Thailand’s elevated train stations. He lives day-to-day on the money he makes by selling limes on the street. Unfortunately, due to his unkempt appearance, people shy away from purchasing his produce.
Still, the little he is able to scrounge he puts first and foremost towards the stray cats he looks after. Whatever he makes in a day he prioritizes putting it towards buying cat food. There are days he goes without eating but it is all worth it as long as his cats have something to eat. He feels fully responsible for them and even treats them as his children. Loong even told a Thai blog: “I’m fine with skipping meals, but the cat needs to eat.”
Thankfully, a woman named Warunya Wattanasupachoke noticed Loong and his sign advertising: “20 baht per bag, profits will pay for stray cat’s food expenses.” She was able to help his story go viral in Thailand which prompted people to buy his limes and even donate food for both him and his cats.
