Every few years, somehow, some way... we circle back to the myth that Video games can cause problematic behavior. This is categorically, and empirically... untrue. In fact, the exact OPPOSITE conclusion can be drawn if we examine media and gaming correlations. However, logic is not a universal human trait, and the newest target, 6 Days in Fallujah, has come under fire as a change.org petition (supported by developers and journalists all across the industry) call for it to be banned by the United Nations.

Every generation: "Whatever young people do today that we didn't do when we were young, must be either useless, destructive, or both."
50% of the population: "If what I like is blamed for something bad, I'll shift the blame to something I don't like, facts be damned."

I guess it's a featured sign that shows how people mad at each other.

This. In the Victorian era it was novels that was ruining the youth... freaking... books. Every time I hear some boomer whining about iPhones and videogames ruining the youth and turning them into killers or ruining social relationships or whatever else they're moaning about at the moment, I am struck by the irony that these are the same people who protested when their parents were saying that Ozzy Osborne was turning them into satanic murderers and that television was ruining their brain and turning them into killers. But this time it's different because they don't like it or they don't understand it. All I hear when they do this are old people yelling at clouds and I pray to sweet merciful Jesus that I don't end up like these out of touch Jurassic era Karens when I'm older. Luckily, my boomer father agrees with me so I don't think its in my blood to be like this.

Clovis Merovingian Eugene 2.0 karlThe good thing is many post-2000 kids don't give a damn about the old bullshit and it's universal in my opinion. When I encounter a young streamer on YouTube (gamers or other content creators), it makes me happy. e.g. this young girl's dream is becoming a professional wrestler in the future and she has a goal in her life. That is what matters.

When I was a kid, boomers claimed that reading American comic books like Tarzan, Fantastic four, or Spiderman, corrupted the youth as an import of violent American culture. Even Donald Duck was under attack, allegedly impairing the development of both language and imagination in children. The language was claimed to be much more simplistic than in (culturally certified) children's literature, and by telling the stories through images, children's ability to fantasize would remain underdeveloped.
A few yeas later, the VHS player was seen as the main problem, where journalists made news stories about teenagers watching Steven Spielberg's "Jaws" on VHS when parents were away. Our prime minister at the time were shown cut scenes from the most violent movies on the market, as a demonstration of the horrors young people were exposed to due to irresponsible parents. In reality, watching movies on VHS was one of the more enjoyable things to do as a teenager back then, and since those who rented out videos didn't care whether you looked 18 or 15, we rented movies like "Alien", which had an 18 years limit.

Ha! My father let me watch stuff like Alien, Predator, Terminator, and horror movies since I was like four or five. It had a positive effect in toughening me up to the point where I watched the Exorcist at twelve, the movie that's supposed to be the scariest ever made, and I was just like, "fake and gay." Nothing really scares me now. Anyways, I guess some people would say that's horrible for him to do that but it had nothing but positive effects on me.

However, there are still some dangerous. It's not because of the violence or something, but because the humanity itself doesn't seem to stop doing mistakes. I guess the really wise elements of each culture is still useful and purposeful. Youth values go quick, and a man finds himself in front of the bare reality. I positively doubt there were kids about my years who hadn't seen all those actions :) And they were indeed cool. Even now many friends of my agree at that comparely to the today ones thise movies were decent.

I find most movies today dull. Like how pauses are half the music, a good movie also requires that the viewer is allowed time to absorb the underlying symbolism. Since most modern movies lack any kind of underlying symbolism, they depend on a fast pace to keep the viewer entertained.

It is really nice to see another person who thinks the same as you! Surely, underline the every word of yours. Most of my friends and colleagues would nod at your thought. I'd say the rules become play against their creators. For what purposes they film it today – ??? One of a writer /futurist and a historical writer/ Iknew and spoke to him said that there were still dozens of hundreds of good movies, so he wouldn't be bored.

It's perhaps the most difficult task – to make the dreams come true, but those who put their hope, their faith, and - as you rightly said - to put away spare and unnecessary things, those can get it through.
