Really. I mean I already got one :(
Just stopping using social media doesn't work as me. What kind of a drug it must be to get over it?

If I am recording well, there is a buddhist sutra about addictions, vices in the case. Try to read. Oh, no, no way. Earlier I read the Eastern literature, but now I'm afraid of doing it. For a Christian it's better to read Christian literature. Schopenhauer read Buddhism and became an atheist, Nietzsche read Zaraostrists literature and became an atheist, Heidegger read Zen Buddhism and became an atheist.

Maybe Saint Thomas Aquinas wrote anything about vices? I read a little about virtues on him, but there are some Saint Theresa diaries which is quite interesting.

The Theresa's diaries are interesting, but I'd say that along with it they are quite... weird. Her adore of Christ goes too far.

I don't have read the book, only the first part, but I remember Plotinus speaks about vices in the Enneads. It's a neoplatonic writer, and not so much formalized.

The Book of Five Rings can be helpful. I have no kind of serious addiction, but I am trying to be a little more chaste in my personal life. For practical reasons.
You can read some military book about discipline, how to discipline yourself in addictions by analogy to your problem.
