1&2
I like anti-heroes better than super heroes. Due to improved technology in regards to special effects, heroes in action movies are now accomplishing feats so unrealistic that even the imaginative mind would have problems pretending to believe in it. We always knew that action heroes were unrealistically lucky when killing bad guys with a few shots, while always escaping bullets themselves. But it was often within the realm of the implausible, rather than the obviously impossible. Now someone might be driving a car, chased by a helicopter with a mounted machine gun, while barely missing 20 cars in the opposite direction, as the ground is being ripped apart inches from the back wheels due to an Earthquake and the movement of tectonic plates. But the hero reaches an airplane that is about to lift, climbs up to the roof and grabs one of its wings, climbs on top of it, pulls a bad guy out of the cockpit, for then to lift off just as the ground explodes with lava.
The pace of newer action movies is also too fast. I like to have some breathing space in between scenes, just like pauses are required when performing a music composition. Instead, movies are made for people with short attention spans, where every single second has to be filled with either action or emotional drama.

Unbelievable... And thinking about the anti-hero in the first movie. Yes, I do sympathize to him. But also must add, that now (I'm not already young :( ) I don't hold such views I was holding six or more years ago. The older I become the more energy I lose, and that's why the less sympathy have to anti-heroes. And besides those times remind me the better times. I don't know like nowadays as much as I loved yesterdays.

Predator, Alien, Resident Evil, princess diaries, and more that aren't coming to mind. Kinda funny how I list all those scary ones and finish it with princes diaries . But I just like different kinds of movies.
