An ambivert is moderately comfortable with groups and social interaction, but also relishes time alone, away from a crowd. In simpler words, an ambivert is a person whose behavior changes according to the situation they are in. In the face of authority or in the presence of strangers, the person may be introverted. However, in the presence of family or close friends, the person may be highly energetic or extraverted.
I am also a dreamer who gets excited by the prospect of new ideas and ways of seeing the world, but they tend to lose their way in theoretical possibilities and flights of fancy. If this sounds like you, you might be seen as a fantastic starter but not so great finisher. But no one can fault your enthusiasm and ability to thrive in the uncertainty of the new. Force yourself to be a bit more organized and you will blow people away.
86% openness and agreeableness
21% conscientiousness
46% extraversion
42% neuroticism
Do you think this sounds like me, I like the "lose their way in theoretical possibilities and flights of fancy"....me all over! What are you? Extrovert or Introvert or Ambivert?

What are you? Extrovert or Introvert or Ambivert? I can't say I know you long enough to answer positively or negatively. I guess that openess suits you, and extraversion as well. I guess conscientiousness was wrongly decreased, so it must be up at least in four times (99 or more percentages). Yes, I am an Ambivert. A strictly Ambivert person, but day by day I become more and more Introvert. I was Introvert when I was a kid. But being an Introvert might be dangerous - for being bullyed or being ostracized. I guess that was a reason I tried to developed my behaviour to the level of Ambivert - to live in those damned societies...

@ Eugene 2.0 Think your right about conscientiousness, I know I am. When I first began to contribute to the boards, I looked at one thread that went right over my head. I commented that I got lost in following its meaning so when I saw written above 'they tend to lose their way in theoretical possibilities' it made me think of that day and thread. I do believe it might have been you who answered it quite eloquently with 'that is why we have philosophers'. I looked for the thread but couldn't find it, I did like that because it was just the point I was making. I think we can all be a bit of all above, depending on time, age and place and company and Ambivert seems right for me at this time. Having just come out of a long stage of being an Introvert. I do not see you as Introvert here, just my opinion...you have a great sense of humour and sense of self. Great qualities for an Ambivert not an Introvert.

I do not see you as Introvert here, just my opinion...you have a great sense of humour and sense of self. Great qualities for an Ambivert not an Introvert. Thank you. Lots of. For such warm words. But being honestly I don't think I'm a good person. On a surface I'm trying to be nice for everyone, but I don't think that internally I'm the same one. (There is a big if not the biggest problem - my that terribly clumsy and thrice awful English... oh, I can't stop feeling shame for this. - Because of it, some cards may be mixed up, and - in turn - appearances may seem deceptive.) And also, I'm using my appearance of an Extravert as a shield. - Oh, by the way, you've rightly said that sometimes I'm partial to humor or kinda. - But I try to do this when I face my lack of English knowledge or any other knowledge. If you know this partially it's called the Grice's Maxims. Paul Grice said that we constantly used such maxims as appealing to something from the extra things which are not relevant to the current dialogues. Well, for instance, after the concert of a singer, someone asks me about the vocal talents of a singer. And instead of saying how terrible one's voice was I can say well, his/her suit/dress very impressive. But I owe you for encouraging me. Now it is important for me. Anyway, let's cheer up and stay optimistic, 'cause the universe doesn't seem to be everlasting... for a long time =)
