The most profound scientists try to argue how to deal with the virus, and they say nobody has been listening to their arguments for a long time. Lockdowns are not what allow to form certain group of people with the more stable immune system together.  The most compassionate approach that balances the risks and benefits of reaching herd immunity, is to allow those who are at minimal risk of death to live their lives normally to build up immunity to the virus through natural infection, while better protecting those who are at highest risk. We call this Focused Protection.
Adopting measures to protect the vulnerable should be the central aim of public health responses to COVID-19. By way of example, nursing homes should use staff with acquired immunity and perform frequent PCR testing of other staff and all visitors. Staff rotation should be minimized. Retired people living at home should have groceries and other essentials delivered to their home. When possible, they should meet family members outside rather than inside. A comprehensive and detailed list of measures, including approaches to multi-generational households, can be implemented, and is well within the scope and capability of public health professionals.
Those who are not vulnerable should immediately be allowed to resume life as normal. Simple hygiene measures, such as hand washing and staying home when sick should be practiced by everyone to reduce the herd immunity threshold. Schools and universities should be open for in-person teaching. Extracurricular activities, such as sports, should be resumed. Young low-risk adults should work normally, rather than from home. Restaurants and other businesses should open. Arts, music, sport and other cultural activities should resume. People who are more at risk may participate if they wish, while society as a whole enjoys the protection conferred upon the vulnerable by those who have built up herd immunity.The Source |

That's right. it's not the best strategy. But, it's crucial at some points to protect people if the virus is spreading rapidly and victims are reported in big numbers. Lockdown affects the economy of countries badly and reduces the development of countries. Also, It brings negative effects on people's mental health.No one needs to be locked in inside. Btw, all we have to live with this virus following standard health guidelines in which wearing a mask is crucial

The article is about there's another route to deal with the sickness, and more precisely with the immune system: to form certain groups of people instead of separating them by change or whatsoever. To fight the disease more relevant social program is required. |

Well sorry to burst the bubble but there is no herd immunity, it has been proven that people who have had the virus are found not to have the antibodies after a few months. England is about to go into a second lockdown ( 5th Nov to 2nd Dec) so too many European countries, lockdown is an aid so that hospitals will be able to cope with the large numbers now needing hospital treatment. It will hopefully mean the number infected will go down so that perhaps families will get to meet Christmas.+85% of English people agree with this decision.

This is why the trace app on mobiles are very important and up to date, hopefully Boris will iron out the mess of getting the app to work as it should.
As you say lockdown is the last resort or short mini lockdowns.
I must say that the picture in the first post is not appropriate with what looks like a cheerful chappie and nurses around his bed. If you have had/know someone with hospitalized Covid 19 they certainly would not be laughing, it is 100 times worse than 'flu'.

Had there been a link I would tell them so. Anyway the app has been out since the summer but has many teething problems but correctly done, it could prove an excellent tool to use. Oh, no, no, I never thought you were blaming me. But even if it was, I wouldn't mind it, because sometimes to shake a little is necessary. (In Ukrainian there is a really specific word that has come from a musical instrument - a flute kind - and this word is: журити (verb; ~to disturb, ~to encourage, ~to judge, ~to object, ~to induce some actions...); журити когось за щось (~to encourage someone to do something)) .
Putting some info like that wasn't good either. Unfortunately I'm not an expert in medical system, but anyway I should be more careful. Since I guessed that if this info could bring some fruits, there were some reasons to share it. As some objected to it that there hadn't been provided any trustful data about C19 sickness mechanism, it was not clever to doubt a lockdown politics. Anyway, thank you! Speaking of those apps. Well, no matter what I see this idea as brilliant, because - as one proverb says: it's better to have one bad method, than having no methods at all - so, I guess this is the one. What really scares me in such apps is their not-trust-to-human politics. Like everywhere there are mediators. Certainly, it's not bad having a help soft, or an electronic device to calculate something, but I'd rather to contact relatives, or friends, to speak with them, than to spend time with beloved technical devices. Not only health but also effected nations economy as well every country has reached to financial crisis especially in my country india most of people are still agrarian( agriculture dependent) during time of lockdown there's been series of locust attacks in agricultural fields in India due to temperature changes overall lockdown shouldn't impose in highly populated countries like india, us, but a partial shutdown should be imposed.

So, I guess that dictatorship hasn't gone anywhere it lives within stupidity of the masses. Another example of this I can view is the bullying. Some says that this phenomenon is a bad one, so we must prevent this. But there are ways to prevent this, and I still guess why there is just one decision that is shouted by many people - a decision to lock or to stop the bully by everyone as a class, rather than an individual. Let me detail this: I mean that each of us has to be able to handle with a problem, one can fix the problem. Exemplifying it: If I had a fishing rod and a hook, I could catch some fish. Surely, we can stop the river or altogether just into the river to catch some fish. But this doesn't seem to be clever. I guess that being able to use as weapons so any kind of tools by a person individually is what teaches one to use his brains. We can't just count on the other's help all the time. But it seems that to this - to common and only common usage - it comes. That a personal thinking starts loosing its cost. A system, or a hive - that is what we're seen in some close future. Frightening and silence are what being grown in us by this insanity of the virus. Nobody can stop wearing masks, if one does, he'll probably be taken as a suspicious person. It seems like we're at someone's theatre playing dull dolls, and each time when we want to stop playing dumb some men with weapons try to make us play. |

But it is of utmost importance that we do not stop the conversation about how stupid the masks really are, because once they have us obeying that in a docile fashion they will just tighten the noose.
I am ready to kill rather than be injected with their toxic vaccine. No doubt about this, that is their next move. And those are just experiments with zero chance of success, except in killing people.
The real problem is over-population, and i am not unsympathetic to how exasperated the authorities must be. But if they start with
a lie like "it will only be for 3 weeks" - then we got to realize that its going to end badly. Prefereably, badly for those lying nazi governments. They are no different to the nazis.
The only genuine solution is 1 child per family until we can colonize other planets. If that law was upheld, we would not ever need any other laws. All major social problems can be
reduced to the notion of: over-population.
