I wonder are there heaven for atheists?
If so, it must be some kind of a big materialistic mall with casinos, blackjack, and bad girls?

Elizabeth queen Yeah, but how atheists view heaven? I think they have their wishes too. So, I guess the atheists want to believe in heaven; they do it implicitly, quietly, silently. (I tried to @_queen, but there was no response... I just forgot it's @_admin...)

Atheism, hatred of God and even Satanism are permanent temptations that the faithful Christian faces daily, and with even more intensity if he is a saint. In the soul of the militant atheist, however, holiness and even simple devotion are UNIMAGINABLE experiences, which he can only conceive of in an inverted and caricatural way, if that. The atheist is a bit of the believer's soul, but the believer's soul infinitely transcends, in wealth and scope, the atheist's horizon of consciousness. Any Christian can understand the soul of Karl Marx or Lenin, but no atheist will ever understand even an infinitesimal fraction of Fr. Pio's soul. And if he try to understand it, he will become a believer.
And, as they horizon of consciousness is very short, they put their hope on the world itself. That is why you see utopic nonsense of "uploading" your consciouness in some Microsoft server, as if counsciouness was in the body and could be transferred. Also, for a lack of studying or simply arrogance in relation to the philosophy tradition, they go mad with their extremely relative mathematical findings (such as quantum theory) and start rambling about multiple universes, and some mad scientist crap straight from an sci-Fi movie. Also, some believe in communism, and there it goes, but what awaits them afterlife it is not some peaceful state of no existence.. behind their mask, they fear a God who could judge for what they did in life, and they are right to be so.

I know that for some theists, there is a heaven, which Jesus called "the kingdom of God" and later St. Augustine called City of God (because he was really living in the republican city of Rome), or the New Jerusalem (to be founded after the end of this world). (Incidentally, for Moses Hess, whom I described in different posts, there will be a "New Jerusalem(or Zion)", the Zionified World of ours.... I suppose that for some atheists, heaven is a materialistic Mall or City (in our world) which you just described. For other atheists, heaven is a city or nation (in our world which is philadelphic (characterized by brotherly love) and politically utopian (such as I started describing in a thread of mine). Addition: For some theists and some undercover theists, heaven is a Dionysiac state of being, namely Enthusiasm (en-theo-ousia-: Being In God) and thereby Contemplating God. Such people are called Mystics.

The bolded statement is what always struck me as odd about Christopher Hitchens. On one hand he tells us that we're stupid because believe in an unproven dangerous immoral fairy tale and on the other he was a communist and the utopia which communism aims for is an unproven dangerous immoral fairytale.

I guess it is – their (commies', for instance) souls are rebel and unrest. There's a proverb: "No rest for wicked". But I did not meant anything like this, it was a sarcasm. I tried to show how narrow and poor atheistic heaven would look like.

Heaven is a mall?! No way. I don't wanna even believe in something like this. It is pretty awful. Has God such a terrible taste to create heaven as a mall? A mall is the most disgusting creation of the devil ever. So, such a construction must not be there for the sake of all the holy souls.

A mall is the most disgusting creation of the devil ever. So, such a construction must not be there for the sake of all the holy souls. I have used the word Heaven in the general sense of Paradise or Elysium: a place of happiness, not in the sense of Sky [in which Our Father is], or in your sense (the sense protracted from the aforementioned Sky), namely "the place or abode of the souls of the just"). So, I can understand why you said, "Heaven is a mall?" Of course, for theists, Heaven is not a mall. For some atheists, it is; for other atheists, it is a state of being, such as "being ecstatic" ("rapture" before a beautiful thing or music) -- in other words, for some people, Paradise is [said in Greek] either "Enthusiasm" or "Esthetic ecstacy", or possibly " orgasm". And one may ask, What is Hell? According to the afore- classified people, it is the otherworldly God-absent jail of the souls of the unjust, where Satan dwells; or the Earth as a vale of tears; or the imaginary Hades, the kingdom of the god Hades, a dark underground place where a soul can lose its memory but suffers, and yet, as the Nycean Creed proclaims, was visited by the dead Jesus; or a depressed and distraught state of mind. (The Orphics warned the souls of the dead that, in Hades, they should nor drink of the Lethe River, the River of Oblivion, which -- I say -- exists on Earth in the form of narcotics.) {Heaven and Hell, in some senses of these words, exist or occur only in our world.}

All MEN ( male and female ) were created in the Heavenly Kingdom of our FATHER also known as the Word of God. It's the visible people on Earth who perish during this temporary generation know matter what they call themselves.
