Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. (1 John 4:20-21)
What sometimes makes me crazy is an interpretation of the passage; so it means either to love all the people (a), or to love your brothers and sisters only (b)? My opinion is that we need to love certain people (b), not all the people, because the same was said in the Parable of the Good Samaritan (Lk 10:25-37). On the other hand, words like brothers, and sisters were being used among the first Christians, that can be viewed in many greetings passages during the Apostolic Letters, and the Acts.

iaminyou I love you as my neighbour/brother/sister no matter what you believe in. Most Christian denominations view the 1st and 2nd Commandments together as the Core of Christian religions. Love thy God and thy neighbour (I mean everyone for neighbour) is quoted in the Old and New Testaments. Leviticus 19 Deuteronomy 6 Mathew 22 Mark 12 Luke 10 John 13, Can't get better than that, hard to follow but so rewarding when achieved. What if a mother which loves her child wants him not to do certain things shows a child hate (or the less rage feeling), and when she wants to show that some particular things are good she shows then love to the child. So, when we're loved we know that our actions, deeds are correct or appropriate, and when we're hated (disloved etc) it shows that some of our actions are not good. Then if I would show love to everyone I would accept all their actions, deeds. So, we have to show love for those who deserves it, and do not show it for those who doesn't deserve it. The same is within Bible. God please something, yet some things are not. By love/hate we'd rather control each other, then to do something in real.

Eugene through dialogue you can show your feelings without hating, such a cruel word. Positivity for children not negativity, one does not know how long we are here for and just imagine losing a child when you have shown 'child hate (or the less rage feeling'. You would always be thinking what if. Love must be given to those who don't deserve it because they are the most needy. Jesus showed his love to those considered bad by others and gave us many examples through the Parables.

(To notify an answer you can either "quote" the last, or to use "@" in the bar with the name of the user.) Oh, I'd like to (to show it through dialogues). I don't think that in almost all the times it happens. Some of persons are so formal, i.e. wonks or show-offs. You're right talking about how important to take care of children, fetus, etc. Yeah, mother's care is a real hard labor. I can't say about it much, because never dealt with it, 'cause I don't have a wife or children, and not gonna mess with anyone else. And again - it definitely is - to show love for those who really needs in it: that is what God must do. However, I don't think He really does it. Dishonest ones, or cruel people, tyrants, and dictators usually live well and happy. They laugh at us who believe in God. As truly Al Capone said: "Hell must be a pretty swell spot, because the guys that invented religion have sure been trying hard to keep everybody else out". The believers ruin almost everything with their faith. Such brilliant gangsters as him are those who can be trusted. I don't think God can be trusted. They say He made the testament, yes? But where is it? The believers have been suffering through the history. God must be cheated them.

Some of persons are so formal, i.e. wonks or show-offs. . That was a funny quote above! I, however, prefer to make my posts as easy to read as possible and make it easy for people to know who I'm writing to and based on what quote. Of course, I had to learn this all through time. I used to write like lorac and sometimes people didn't see my replies since it didn't notify them. And had people like you replying to me to help me like you just did with lorac. You showed love there, Eugene. You were helping her out just to be nice. That's exactly what the verse you quoted means. So you're fulfilling it just fine. lorac see you're helping him apply that verse just by participating in the thread. Very skillful!

To be honest, quite often I am filled with some kind of anger or hatred, and therefore I often imagine that others hate me. I have noticed this for myself many times, but, alas, it is very difficult to overcome myself and my habits. Therefore, in fact, you are the person who exudes love. That is why everyone on the forum likes you.

So you are still being nice to us since we don't feel any anger. And being nice to everyone is showing love But I only ever hear good things from people who know you. Why? Because you are nice to everyone and we like you for it. So don't imagine things that aren't true. We're all a big family here
