I don't have patience for walking. But I do push ups every day and lift weights. It has a higher effect/time ratio. It does increase mental energy, as well as providing a general sense of well-being.

I actually do walk a mile every day. Good for you. 30+ min walking per day is the key.

I don't like to walk. I just walk around the house, to and from my car, walk around at home, work, church and store. Which isn't much.

I actually do walk a mile every day. God bless you! This spring, and then summer, I did 55 km for 10 hours by foot (55 km ~ 34,17 miles). It wasn't easy, but this was amazing. The very first time I decided to walk so long (first time I made 45 km ~ 28 miles) I tried to think that I was Clint Eastwood. I mean the one from "Good, Bad, and Ugly". The episode when Blondie said to Tuco that to the town there was about 70 miles I always watched carefully trying to understand if there was a mistake, or was it really possible to made such a huge distance? This spring I checked that it wasn't possible, because we had to add to this that the hero (Tuco) needed to cross a desert having no water. It's not possible. He must be overweaked even to make a little move. Do you like to walk at night, and then light a bonfire sitting there, and, for instance, playing harmonica, or smth?

This spring and summer I walked a lot. And even last times I headed from my village town to the citizen-town I made some big walks. Every time I walked I didn't just walk and that's all. No, I read. I walked and read. Honestly. I tell you it was amazing. This allowed me to read more books, than I could do. To sit and to read isn't easy for me, perhaps, for now. It requires lots of concentration energy, but I feel lack of it.
Unfortunately, my ear was damaged inside at the beginning of August. I became to hear badly. Echo is reverbing somewhere in the vaults of my ear's chambers. This diminished ability to just walk and read.
