Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe, resigned after the Parliament's decision on his impeachment, said the speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda. It is reported by the Zimbabwean newspaper the Herald. So Mugabe decided not to wait until 24 hours has passed, that Parliament granted him to resign. The speaker suspended the sitting of Parliament and read out a letter from Mugabe's resignation from the post. Within two days it should take the place of former Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa, said the ruling party "Zimbabwe African national Union — Patriotic front" (ZANU-PF). The party began impeachment proceedings after Mugabe refused to resign voluntarily. Last week, the military took control of the television station in the capital of Zimbabwe, Harare, and the residence of the President, and he himself was placed under house arrest and demanded that he resigned. Mugabe made an appeal to the nation, but the resignation did not speak, and said that his government is not in danger. Mugabe became Prime Minister of Zimbabwe in April 1980, and on the last day of 1987, he was elected President. To this post he was repeatedly re-elected, and in the last elections held in 2013, has scored 61% of the vote. ria.ru/world/20171121/1509276453.html
