So heard a convo on the radio a few minutes ago while in my car.
A married couple was staying with their parents until their apartment was ready for moving in.
There was a discussion that divided their thinking. It's whether or not you're allowed to eat your food or drink your drink in the grocery store before paying for it.
All the family said no because it's technically the stores property until you pay for it. The son-in-law was the only one who said yes and likes doing that.
His reasoning? He is paying for it so it's now his. Like at a restaurant when you eat first then pay later he said.
What are your thoughts?
He's dead wrong in my opinion. A restaurant and a grocery story have different functions. You can't always be billed first in a restaurant because it depends on how much you decide to eat unless it's an all you can eat buffet and you pay first and eat as much as you want later. A grocery store is a place to buy stuff and leave not a place to eat a snack or have dinner.

I was just in line at a grocery store and I ate a banana before I paid for it.

I was just in line at a grocery store and I ate a banana before I paid for it. Technically it's considered theft which is a crime. Even though that guy said it was his because he WILL pay for it, it's a lie. It's his when he DOES pay for it.

Money doesn’t really mean anything because all these products you see were put there to be used anyway, with or without bills or change.
