The United States of America is a place of cultural, geographical, climatological, culinary, ethnic, and regional diversity. It's huge and is home to many interesting and fascinating places. Whether you live in the United States or a foreign country i'd hazard a guess that you haven't even near visited every place there is to visit in the USA. So that being the case what are the places in the United States you most want to visit?
Mine are.
1. The French part of Louisiana, New Orleans, Cajun country, the Bayous. I am very fascinated by the culture and geography of this part of the country, southern by way of France. I love swamps, I like the architecture and food of this area and would really like to visit.
2. The Mississippi Delta region. Especially Natchez Mississippi. This place is called the most southern place on earth and birthed musical genres like Blues and Rock and Roll. Natchez Mississippi was the center of wealth in the country before the Civil War and is home to the most breathtaking Antebellum Southern architecture.
3. West Virginia or anywhere in the heart of Appalachia. I've visited the appalachian mountains before but I was very young and did not linger. All I remember was the beautiful blue ridge mountains. Anyways it's a culturally fascinating area rich in Scots Irish heritage. I'd like to listen to some authentic Hillbilly bluegrass and I might even break my rule against drinking to have some moonshine.
4. The Pacific Northwest especially Seattle. While I don't think i'd like the hipsterish culture that dominates here I hear that this area has absolutely breathtaking natural scenery and beauty. I'd also love to visit Seattle because its where Grunge music was born and i'm a fan of Nirvana.
5. Texas. Texas is a fascinating, huge, regionally and culturally diverse state. The East has huge influences from the Deep South and slightly from French Louisiana, Central and West Texas is heavily Scots Irish influenced and also has a bit of a western vibe, the Texas hill country has a German heritage, and the southern part is heavily hispanic. I've also always wanted to try Tex Mex food.
6. Minnesota and Wisconsin. These states were first settled by Yankees from New England and later by Germans and Scandinavians and have a huge Nordic heritage and cultural influence. Minnesota is famous for its nice pleasant people and that awesome accent they have. Generally these states just seem like nice places to visit.
7. New England. New England is one of the oldest regions in the United States rich in colonial heritage. Lots of stuff to see here.
8. Southern Florida. Southern Florida is the only part of the mainland United States to have a tropical climate though it's not technically in the tropics. I have been to the tropics and I very much want to visit an area such as this again. Also it has a huge Cuban influence and i've never tasted Cuban food.
9. New York City. Despite all the negative stereotypes people in the south have about New York city everyone i've met from there has been charmingly pleasant. It's our largest and most important city. It is home to countless ethnic groups and has cultural influences from all over the world which means lots of different types of food to sample. Yeah, I think its worth a visit.
10. Pittsburgh and the Greater Pittsburgh Appalachian section of Pennsylvania. My mother was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in Westmoreland county Pennsylvania. She grew up speaking greater Pittsburghese and saying the word "Yinz" to address a group of people. I've been here before but I was young and remember little of it.
11. Iowa. The Corn Belt of the US has corn growing as far as the eye can see in some places. I am interested in seeing this for myself.
12. Montana and Wyoming. The most western cowboyish states in the union and apparently home to absolutely breathtaking scenery. From what i've seen of these places I could very well move here if given the chance.
13. Hawaii. Do I really need to explain this?
14. Alaska. I really wish to visit Barrow Alaska the most northerly city on earth. Also Alaska has amazing natural beauty.
15. Northern California. Really just to see the redwoods.

All the warm states. If that includes Florida then minus Florida. Not ready to be eaten by alligators just yet. And definitely New Jersey and Missouri since I have family there.
