And automatically become a citizen where would you choose to live and become a citizen? I myself have to think about this to answer properly. There are many consuiderations, standard of living, language, food, climate, culture etc.

If not the USA for me then back to Ukraine. But if that's not an acceptable answer then Russia.

If not the USA for me then back to Ukraine. But if that's not an acceptable answer then Russia. Ukraine is an acceptable answer because you live in California currently and not Ukraine. After thinking about it a bit I would have to choose Switzerland. I would've said Australia because the hot climate especially the rainforests of the north are to my liking, it's a civilized country, and there's no language barrier but the whole continent has a bad habit of... setting on fire. My next choice would've been the UK but their climate is cold and dreary and their food sucks. All in all I decided to get adventurous and choose Switzerland. It's the best governed country on the face of the planet, its filled with breathtaking mountain scenery, it allegedly has some pretty good food, and I have an ancestral connection to it. Also I kind of need to get around to learning another language and Swiss German sounds as good as any.

Australia having a hot climate makes Australia look like a nice option for me too and since there will be no language barrier as you said. But....what is this part about it likes setting itself on fire?

My two main criteria is that it's peaceful and cold. The American base at the South-pole, A house in a scarcely populated area in Canada, Alaska, or Finland. But I already live in a cold and peaceful country, so I have no need to move.

Yeah, I was considering Scandinavia as I have more than a passing interest in its culture but its too friggin cold and too non religious. I don't think i'd fit in there.

Since I've never been to the US, I can't really compare cultures. But if you by non-religious mean not believing in God, then yes, by that definition, the majority isn't religious. But humans are religious beings, and those who don't believe in a deity, find something else to put their faith in. The princess from the Norwegian royal family made money off of running a school with the sole purpose of teaching people to get in contact with angels. It's a bit like how some gen Y's replace Christianity with Wiccan.

Japan and Poland seem good but they are too homogeneous for foreigners and non-natives (sticking out like a sore thumb).

Always fancied Iceland for no real reason other than Viking romanticism. It'll likely be too cold, so I'd probably be happier on one of the smaller Caribbean islands like St Kitts or Antigua as I prefer African cultural influences too. France or Japan too. Lotsa nice sounding places.

Honestly, if I could live in any country except my own I'd live in an independent South, a revived Confederate States of America. The south's climate, politics, religion, food, cultural values, music, and manners suit me more than any other place. I wish I was in a position to start a southern nationalist movement to work towards independence.
The problem right now is that the only southern nationalist movement in vogue currently is racist and insane, the League of the South. I'd like a southern independence movement that embraces all of the traditional peoples of the south not just the white "Anglo Celtic" people.
