The caste system in India, revenge rapes in Pakistan and probably other Muslim countries, Islam in general, the idea among black Americans that intellectualism and success or having the wrong political position is "acting white", marrying 12-year-old girls in Latin America, torturing killing and eating dogs in China, cannibalism in many parts of Africa, slavery in Mauritania and many other third world countries, inbreeding for thousands of years in Islamic countries and other third world countries as well, the acceptance of homosexuality in the west which one could argue is a tradition going back to Greece. These are just the things I can think of off the top of my head.

1. Asking the girl's father to marry the girl.
Like nooooooo! The dad isn't the one getting married! You're the adult so you decide to marry someone or not. I told that to guys I've dated before that if they ever ask my dad about a marriage blessing then I'll wish him a happy marriage with my dad and that I'll hope my dad says yes to him.

You are correct. Throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, and the American South there were race based caste systems. It worked differently depending on where it was implemented though with Latin America having a bunch of different castes based on different racial mixtures while here in the Deep South there were only the white and black castes with the one drop rule relegating anyone who had even one drop of black blood in them to the bottom caste. Our caste system came from Barbados in which my state of South Carolina was settled from. An interesting book on the racial caste system in the Deep South is the book Deep South an Anthropological Study of Caste and Class where these researchers I think from the University of Chicago went to the Mississippi Delta in the 1930's, blended in with black and white society and studied the complex relationships between the black and white racial castes and the kind of aristocratic class system that still survived at that time where plantation owners still ran society and were treated like noble houses would be in Europe. It was actually rather disturbing.

It was actually rather disturbing. Yes, this kind of apartheid in subcontinent was brought by european invaders. Before that, it's a well known fact that central asian tribes were invading these regions, and their first wave was via vedic aryans, and second wave as islamised persian, mongols and turks. Aryans of central asia definitely had no caste system, and neither the second wave of the islamised persian, mongols and turks. Only when the nehruvian socialism came, caste system got hardened.

This is the fake kind of BRAHMANICAL CASTE SYSTEM, which british tried to create in subcontinent.

Lots of people do it in each state. I used to watch the Bachelor show on tv but got tired of it. But in the Bachelor show in the end the guy always has to go ask the dad of the girl to marry. I find it ridiculous.

What's the worst traditions (perhaps national, or cultural) do you know? If such traditions are alive, should they be removed? After an HeirHead Meets His Guillotine, There Will be Only Air Where His Head Used to BeBirth privileges are the death of a nation. The children of the rich should be cut off at age 18: no allowance or paid-up tuition in college, no trust funds, no inheritance. Leftover wealth must go back to the public, which provided it. The plutocrats who earned it act like they did it all on their own. But if they believe so strongly that they can pass it on to their mooching sons, they themselves must have also gotten it through luck or cheating. And all the Socialist leaders have been richkids, so don't give me this Lefty/Righty nonsense. Ideology is a spitball fight at a prep school, which also must be abolished. Heirs are the enemy of human progress; they block our road forward and must be pushed into the gutter. Because they control what we think, they will continue to spread like cancer; so the rest of us will be the ones who wind up in the gutter. If productive people are to have a future, we better wake up to this greatest evil and outlaw it. Those who accept it are childish economic cowards who hate their own fathers for not getting rich and spoiling them. A wannabe Preppie has no right to call himself an American. The motto of a real man is, "If we have to do it on our own, so must the sons of the rich." Imagine some team owner who himself had inherited the team. What if he was so sure he had a right to it (imaginary, all these tyrants know they are playing the rest of us for suckers) that he tells his players that they, too, can pass on their positions to their sons. Soon that team would wind up in last place year after year and have to be disbanded. So will we.

Earmarks, tauros, brands - is what kills any fairness. Unfortunately, it seems that it's really hard to imply this. How to organize it? Richs are ones who eat and eat, and eat again. They would swallow up the lands, then giving up. To cut 'em down is to diminish their hungriness. Their hungriness is a common disaster, a horrible plague. Getting rid of that means - to cut off their gluttony, but how to? We don't know the key pass to their empty vaults? All I can say that their greed is similar to quicksands and deserts. What kind of vast emptiness do their hungriness have?
