Would you consider buying that? I think I will always prefer PC.
I do think some games, like racing games, are best played sitting in a recliner with a game controller in front of a TV, but for that purpose I'm using an older computer, which I've converted into a game console. I prefer older racing games anyhow.

No. My last console was PSX (PS/PS1) and even PSX failed to give me the joy of 8-bit & 16-bit consoles. I'm a PC Gamer + Retrogamer. Although I think today kids are lucky for having these powerful consoles and their games.
If I want to buy a console, I will choose PlayStation. For me, the only interesting thing about Xbox is its controller which is the best gamepad in the video gaming market since the release of Xbox 360.

I've never tried the Xbox game controller. My favourite has always been the controller for gamecube, of which I've got two. And I have a device that allows me to use them on a PC.

Does it have a good D-pad?

It does the job. But in regards to comfort, it's a bit small. I don't really consider it much, since it typically only has a side function in the games I play. What I really like about the gamecube controller is its grip, analogue stick, and main buttons. Everything feels like it's positioned correctly. The analogue stick is accurate, with no dead zones. This is in contrast to my speedlink controller, which acts as if the stick has reached an extremity when it's only at 60-70%. -Making it more difficult to fine tune how you make a turn in a racing game, or aim a gun in a FPS.
