I say just whenever you want. You don't even need a reason technically Depends on the type of your account and why you use social media. In my opinion: 1. Personal accounts: Do whatever you want because it's a personal space. Your timeline, your preferences 2. Business/Brand accounts: Blocking too many users is not a good solution and could harm your popularity. As the posted article says, better to have some rules and mute/ignore option works better in this case.

Yeah I guess one needs to try thr other tactics than to block, yet it must require lotta intellectual and intuitive abilities. I'd say being cool with proper rhetoric techniques makes you better dialoguer.
