What in peoples view is the difference between nudes in Art and Pornography if any? Is it how graphic the subject matter is? Is it whether it was produce to titillate? Or is it how it is seen by the viewer?

Good question! I personally don't draw nudes so as to not make people think anything at all of why I draw that. To me it can look like a person might think that you are obssesed with nudes/porn but it can also mean you are just drawing another thing. I like expending on what I can draw to learn better and excel in my art so trying different things is helpful. If I do decide to draw a naked body one day, I will make it as decent as possible and not for it to give pornographic vibes. So, I mean I believe there is a difference, but a small one.

What about a classic nude statue? Seen in art museums.... Like a statue of David for example? Yea, I mean it seems ok overall but I mean it may not be ok to all because it is in a public place and their are children around. If I were to keep it in a public place then I would cover up that part but that kind of ruins the artist's work so then probably keep it in an area kids are not allowed in because it is not age appropriate. Kids these days are around way too much negative media telling them to grow up too fast and stuff.

The Victorians destroyed pieces of statues to hide the naughtier parts. And covering it up then are you not taking away some of the artistic merit. Would you hide Munch's The Scream because it may frieghten children?.....Sorry for making errors not used to this accept on f/b.

Is this art or pornography? You can not see anything yet they are naked.

Yeah, I don't agree with destroying someone's arkwork in any way since we wouldn't want someone to do it our arkwork either. I just say if it is something that can be seen as bad or not good for kids then to put it in its own area. Or to cover that part up without hurting the arkwork if lets say kids will be present. But destroying an arkwork no longer makes it the artist's work but someone else's.

Is this art or pornography? You can not see anything yet they are naked. Well, everyone has their own peespective but it would technically classify as both. Art: can be a picture/drawing/painting of anything Porn: Nudity and stuff. So, it fits both definitions. I would classify is at an arkwork with a light pornographic image. It is fully an arkwork and has some porn qualities which is somethings parents would not want a kid to see since it has a pornographic quality to it.

Diamond. Yes it might, But should it be hidden because it might? Is that censorship?

So Diamond no artistic merit? Have you try to look beyond the nude women? Look at the detail in the piece. The way the tattoo curves round the body. The hair on the bottom lady. Does it not make you think of two people in love?

Diamond. Yes it might, But should it be hidden because it might? Is that censorship? I think there are not serious grounds for censorship! Although for certain people who don't take this then maybe Yes!
