I still use floppy discs for my retro-gaming computer. Despite all the different emulators, for some games an old computer is still the best option.

Wow! I remember using this in middle school and maybe high school still. Are they even sold still? I did like them though but with the new computers you could no longer put a floppy disk in them so I had to get rid of all mine. I like flashdrives more but I lose them more easily than the floppy disks. :/

karl and ElizabethI still have some of my floppy disks; both used and unused factory new ones. I may buy a pack for my collection. Because floppy disk is a symbol/icon of PC. Best friends forever!

Are they expensive where you live? Used ones => No Factory new and untouched => Yes, because they're rare and they have become collectible items.

I THINK YOU CAN STORE A LOT OF TEXT AND A FEW SMALL PICTURES ON ONE FLOPPY.
FLOPPIES WERE POPULAR AT A TIME WHEN SEEMINGLY MORE COMPUTER USERS WOULD BE DOING SOME TYPING AND READING.
4K VIDEOS MAY MAKE A HDD OR SSD WITH A TERABYTE OR MORE STORAGE CAPACITY OF MORE USE. I HAD 750GB HDD IN MY OLD LAPTOP BEFORE AND CAME NOWHERE NEAR ITS CAPACITY WHILE DOWNLOADING SOME YOUTUBE VIDEOS.
I AM SATISFIED WITH 1080P AND 720P IS ENOUGH RESOLUTION FOR A SCREEN SMALLER THAN 30 INCHES. I USED A 720P TV TO PLAY XBOX 360 BEFORE I SOLD THEM BOTH. I PAID $1000 FOR TWO THINGS I SOLD FOR LESS THAN $500 ALL TOGETHER WITH SOME GAMES. I MISS PLAYING ONLINE WITH SOME PEOPLE AND SPEAKING WITH THEM OVER THE HEADSET. SOMETIMES IT IS GOOD TO PLAY GAMES WITH PEOPLE TO PASS THE TIME. I FOUND OUT I CAN BE GOOD AT PLAYING CHECKERS AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE SET COST ABOUT $10. I AM NOT GOOD AT CHESS AND I DO NOT WANT TO BUY THOSE KNIGHT PIECES ANYMORE.

Yeah, I still remember when I was almost to lose my data bearing a floppy to school. I had two floppies, and the data on one of it was erased, because of passing through metro's scanners (well, I guess it was the most relevant reason).

I lost my project file written in BASIC (GW-BASIC) thanks to a damaged floppy disk; about 22 years ago. I still become sad when I remember it because I was sure my project would scored 100/100. Excluding that incident, floppy disk reminds me of good old days. That's the reason why I still keep some of my floppy disks. They're my collection.
