As many know (if not all) the country's name is derived from the name of ruling dynasty - the Sauds. Hopefully, it will not govern the country eternally and will either disappear, or maybe monarchy will be abolished.
The question is: what will happen to the country's name? Will it be kept, or will it be changed? If changed, then to what? Simply "Arabia" doesn't make much sense.
Any thoughts?

I think the Saudis will rule for a long time! Them also support the Western countries! Despite all the human rights violations which occurs in Arabia!

Personally, I think it will stay as is because it sounds good as it is written and just to show it was developed from the Sauds. However, they might still remove it as you said kind of like what happened with California. California was Alta California but when it became part of the US they just removed the Alta (which I like because alta means north california and it wouldn't make sense since the US does not have a south California if they were to keep the exact name). So I mean they didn't fully change the name but the word California is still a Spanish word and overall the meaning remained as should Saudia Arabia be.

Historically this land was called Arabia! and they are called Arabian Peninsula! Therefore, this option is possible!

On the other hand, that shouldn't be the biggest issue. "Republic of Arabia" sounds nice. But that would make the citizens just "Arabs", while this is an ethnic group for more people than just Saudis. Would be problematic.

It's similar to Philippines.
Also never forget USA and Americas.
And I think we can find more similar cases.

What people of Philippines think about Philip? I think they like that name otherwise they should renamed their country and ethnicity name a long time ago. Same thing for "Saudi".

Lone Wanderer, my question about changing the name of a country is just a hypothetial scenario. In hypothetical scenarios a lot things are not like in reality. For example, there would have be a reason for the Saud dynasty to end governing, and very likely the reason are people who won't mind. It's always people who change the system. So, hypothetically, the Saudis are not proud for the Sauds in this story.
