For those who have made it as successful entrepreneurs what is your business? For the definition of success lets say those making over 200k profit. What is you plan moving forward?

Success is relative. In terms of dollars, once we hit $50k in annual profit (we're at about half that now) for the two of us we'll be fine and as soon as we reach $100k for 2 people we'll start to scale back and close more because free time is far more valuable to us than having more money than we need. $100k for 2 people is way more than enough for our situation.

I dont know that your website is revolutionizing the way I think about a tropical vacation but it looks pretty freaking enjoyable. Well done.

Not the website, the experience Clearly I was being dramatic in jest....I just mean that we believe our product offers a significantly different experience than staying at a traditional beach resort and that once people have stayed with us they won't want to go back to Sandals.

Haha, no doubt, not throwing any hate. It looks very well done and the rates aren't really any higher than a mid priced hotel. If you don't mind me asking how did you get into this? Are you from mexico/know people there that you were able to buy/develop property or something? Its a very interesting premise.

I'm a programmer with a long history.
First business was foreign exchange trading software. I made the mistake of partnering with an American. Americans are scum. He screwed me and sold out for a few million. I got nothing.
Next was dot-com boom. It was a shopping comparison site. I partnered with 2 non-American business people and we got VC funding. That sold out for a little over $1B, so that was nice.
Next I had an idea that was basically Reddit before Reddit existed. But my business partner was incompetent and so execution was bad and that failed.
Next I decided not to do anything original but just look for a profitable area. I picked one which I won't specify except to say that it takes advantage of stupidity which has become the primary trait of people in modern culture. I started that with another programmer and we were supposed to get a marketing guy who kept delaying, so I did black hat SEO and we made around $800K that year. But then we had some problems and revenue dropped. Finally the marketing guy came in and completely screwed everything up. The other programmer started following modern programming trends and screwed up the code. By then it was losing money. So I got rid of them, did more black hat SEO, and started rewriting the code. Now it's breaking even. When I finish cleaning up the code by the end of this year, I will go back to Silicon Valley and look for a good sociopathic foreign business partner to work with and let him mostly buy me out if it works.
I hate business now. Modern culture has gone down the drain and consumers are now moronic scum who have no sense of quality. To make real money, you need a smart sociopathic business partner who knows how to screw over consumers. If I ever do another business, it would be something like furniture design software for conservative Mennonites. That wouldn't make much money, but I really never want to deal with scum of modern culture again in my life.
