What do you think?
I say it can easily be done. Plus I grew up in a village with only brothers for siblings, my relatives next door only had male kids, and the kid across the street was a guy. So, I grew up playing with guys all the time, usually soccer with them. I had to ask for permission to go to a girl friends house since none were close enough. Therefore, I would see mostly my friends who were girls at school. Now, I have about half guy friends and half girl friends. If I need to talk to a friend, about 70% of the time I will ask my guy friends. So, growing up with more guy friends helped be indifferent to both genders and see both as good support groups.

Oh, my type is Scandinavian looking or North Asian, but honestly I don't really care. I just want a decent woman who I can have an intelligent conversation with. Join a high IQ society? Eh, my iq is 126. That's way well above average but I missed Mensa by 7 points.

Also...in middle school and high school mostly I would hang out with a big group of girls. They had too much drama so I made sure to always have a boyfriend to ditch them for. Until one started saying I went after the guy she liked when she never said she liked him. But he was worst than I thought so I gave him to her. She literally cried in front of us all when he ruined her life or something a month later. I don't know. Like I said too much drama they were so I ditching them as much as possible. facepalm

High School and Middle School were hell to me. I have aspergers syndrome mixed with the fact that I didn't care what people thought of me and generally didn't want anything to do with anyone else. I also didn't have what one calls the "wildness of youth". I never did drugs, I never smoked weed or cigarettes, I didn't have sex and was adamant not to do it before marriage, and I NEVER drank. Regarding this I HATED the other students and the stupid immoral things they did and let them all know it. I still don't accept the, "I was young" argument for a vice ridden past. My mother and my brother have pulled this on me and I didn't take it when I heard it. I was young too and I wasn't a degenerated moron. Anyways most people also thought I was a psycho in those years because I had cultivated that image so people would leave me alone. I've actually never had a girlfriend before because of my weird personality, shyness, autistic symptoms, and the circumstances of my youth.

I've actually never had a girlfriend before because of my weird personality, shyness, autistic symptoms, and the circumstances of my youth. Yup, I never did any of those either. But yes many morons in school. Many got pregnant in my school even and I was like you know you're an idiot and he will leave and all. They're like nooo...and they were all broken up. Not a single relationship lasted from what I saw. I was like nice family you guys have. And one stupid thing is some literally started physical fights and stuff because someone was dating someone they liked. I'm like for real? The girl that was mad at me tried to get me suspended over the guy I dated for like 1 week. She went and came up with some plan to make it look like I will start a fight and her friend would back it up so I'd get suspended. A teacher heard their little plan and waited to suspend them instead . I made tons of office staff friends then and they let me ride in their golf carts on campus xD But yes. Being young is not an excuse for anything. You can really ruin your life while young. But no you're not a psycho for being smarter or different.

Even worse than the "I was young" excuse is the "I was drunk" excuse.
Like getting drunk isn't a personal, conscious choice and being drunk absolves one of all behavior during said condition.
I'm all for forgiveness and redemption and new chances, but we have to acknowledge we did something bad and not excuse it or justify it.
Like if someone randomly starts firing a gun in a forest and shoots someone, just because they didn't specifically intend murder, the action of discharging a firearm in a careless way is such a gross and dangerous act that the lack of specific intention doesn't make a dent in the fact someone's dead!
Same with drunk driving. When someone's son or daughter is dead, no one wants to hear your excuses. It is an awful and selfish thing to do, to get drunk and start driving, but how many of us know people who've done this and not been straight with them because they are a friend?
Why are people being raised to be so careless, reckless, selfish these days??

Why are people being raised to be so careless, reckless, selfish these days?? I have never pulled the I was drunk card, or acted as a fool when I was young. At least not in the manner we are referring too. I made lots of mistakes when I was young but just things I wish I did differently, the courses I took, regrets. I never made fun of anyone or did anyone harm. I made a good group of about 5 close friends and I was with a group of ten people at ’the rock’ which was overhanging the river. There are two rocks for two different school. My friends started throwing rocks at the two girls on the other dock and their male friend ran over to confront us. The second alpha of my group ran up to him and started teasing him with the other 9 supporting him. I felt like I was the only one who had seen what had just happened. 10 ranging in size men throwing rocks at two girls, and a single man ran up to them up to them all ready to confront them. I went up to my friend and told him to stop because I didn't want a fight to happen, the other guy was obviously going to lose. I told him that the other guy already won by coming over here and not to fight him, because he was brave and that my friend was in the wrong. I walked away disappointed in my friends and was about to drive off (I was their ride ) but decided against it. Next thing you know all I hear is like a mixture between ”get him” and cheering as a fight broke out. Luckily it was 1 on 1. My friend won, but I didn't feel like talking to any of them for a few days convinced I wasn't going to hang out with them anymore. Seeing as they were my main friends, my best friend was part of the group but was not present (he was rattled when I told him), and I was new to the area, I hung out with them and pretended it never happened. That's life I guess

But I also think some parents do tell them to be careful when driving and not be reckless or something but the teens think they're smart and think they'll prevent anything from happening. They keep having that mentality as they get older too I guess Shrug
