Is this the summary of it? Because I can think of some atheist who disagree on ghosts and maybe other things. So then I'm confused...

All an atheist is, is a person who believes there is not enough evidence for the existence of God, therefore they don't think God exists. I've met atheists that believe and don't believe in evolution (Darwin's theory or otherwise), globe earth, global warming, many tragic events like 9/11 (as in, they think it is a conspiracy), aliens, supernatural phenomenon, etc. As long as they believe there is no sufficient proof for a creator, they are still an atheist.

What conspiracies have you heard for 9/11? A famous one is that 9/11 was actually an inside job that was ordered from the president. I'm unsure on the specifics but that is the gist of it. www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-42195513 : I found a BBC news article on the conspiracy, read up on it if you wish.

Recently, I was discussing about whether 1+1=3 is a contradiction to 1+1=2. They said that if 1+1=2 is true, then 1+1=3 is automatically false.
Either way, atheism is more tight (narrower) determination than the nominalism, or supernatural denialism, or some kind of (A. J. Ayer and D. Hume were the persons that held the views you described). So, that's curious, because if atheists deny God, than why they're denying exactly God of the theists? It will be both right if we say that atheists are the guys who deny an existence of God, and the guys who deny something that isn't enough with evidences. But the latest one definition is not just the atheists' but and many others too. For example, a theist if he's shown a not pretty well-looked gown can say that he doesn't want to buy this gown, because a consumer hasn't presented enough arguments to buy it. This last reason allows to understand an atheist as a guy who denies just an existence of God. And this is true determination.
The atheism would be also denying ghosts, ghouls, zombies, vampires, withes, etc if all those notions would be inside a determination of God (if God doesn't exist, then ghosts, ghouls, gargoyles... don't exist too. It seems to be poor argument. So, any atheist may be a believer in zombies and centauruses.)

Nonsense. The Old Testament teaches all these things and is not an atheist book.

Read what I said again. I said "a person who believes there is not enough evidence". I don't know a whole amount of Buddhists and their religion, but I doubt they don't believe in God because of lack of evidence.

So would/could you said that atheism is just another belief system? As in they have to have a kind of faith to believe that there is no God? Iām asking because Iāve heard atheists say, and it is defined as, that atheism is a disbelief or lack of belief in a God or gods. I find it contradictory though, because they essentially ābelieveā there is no God or gods. And they have to ābelieveā because there is nothing proving or disproving the existence of God(this can be debated with different forms of evidence, but we donāt need to get into that if it isnāt necessary).

No its simply a lack of belief, not a belief system unto itself. The same way highly religious people believe their god is the one true god and completely discount all other gods due to a ' lack of sufficient evidence ' We're all atheists, some of us just go one god further. Much like saying that there is a pink invisible unicorn living in your back-yard, you'd chuff and call BS due to the fact you a: can't see it b: can't touch it c: can't smell it d: have no determinate proof it exists except maybe in a book But if I said ' I don't need proof, I feel it in my heart ' you would call me crazy for having a strong belief in the unbelievable. This is how religion is to the rest of us.

Atheism is nothing more than the lack of believe in a god. you can believe in the smurfs but is you don't believe in a god you are and Atheist.

Are you religious if you don't mind me asking? causality... in order to be theist you need to become theist. nobody is born believing in a god, just like no one is born believing in the smurfs. and no, I m not religious.
