There's actually really two dialects in the south the Upland South and the Lowland South. The upper south's dialect comes from the Scots Irish (Northern Irish protestants), the lowland southern dialect comes from the south and west of England.

Ancestry (updated results)
Italy 30% Ireland & Scotland 19% England & Wales 17% Germanic Europe 14% France 10% Eastern Europe and Russia 8% Greece and The Balkans 2%
MyHeritage
Italian 54.2% Irish, Scottish, and Welsh 19.3% North and West European (France and Germany in my case) 18.5% Balkan 6.8% West Asia (Caucuses) 1.2%
Both match my paper trail, ancestry scored me way too low for Italian and MyHeritage scored me a bit high.
