What are your thoughts on this article about girls excelling in all subjects even math and science? I agree with it. I have 2 older brothers. One managed to finish high school then run from education and the other one couldn't even finish high school. And the one that finished was only working for his C's to pass while the other one was failing which is why he never finished. I also remember when I was in elementary school (grade 6) and my mom told my brother in high school to get tutored from me . She's like give her your textbooks and she's explain it to you in no time and help you pass. He was like, "I am not having my little sister help me. It's not happening." So, he failed high school. You didn't read the article too well. Also apply the brain article in the other thread. Males do great if they want to compete to show off. Girls don't need to show off to know they're great academically. And classrooms do both types of learning. I teach to you know. And boys do awesome when they compete. I have them compete and winner gets less homework. Then they do or redo their problem as fast and as many times as needed to win. It's great doing that. My girl students are more, "I'm bored. This is easy. Ima sit here and do it quietly (or talk with everyone and work) and try not to be annoyed." . My girls are my issues. There are newer articles too. And says females continue their education after high school more. So that's more STEM intelligent females and stuff. The nature of competition is rooted in survival or at least a survival instinct repressed by culture....hence the majority of discoveries the women learn in school are based upon what men accomplished. And the majority of job growth is in trades...the majority of college students do not get work in the field there degree is in...in simpler terms the academic system exploits women by placing unreasonably high standards on them and giving them massive amounts of debt in the process. I never had debt. But men can't accomplish anything without coming from a female, c-section or not. Yeah I've a degree (2 almost) and worked in 4 areas I wished to major in. So, you're correct we work in many areas not just what we majored in.

All modern schooling places emphasis on female over male development and in light of the revolution the role of the male has moved backward. This old article, from 2014, is using a study group that is post revolution. Add the common complaint that children complain of learning nothing practical....being good in school does not equal intelligence. You didn't read the article too well. Shrug Yea, I was going to say in high school I didn't really care to do well until my senior year. I didn't enjoy school, I found it more fun to hang out with friends, play video games, play music, or just goof off. There was a lot of stuff going on at home too that was a distraction. I did much better in elementary school than I did in middle school or high school, though I think I had better teachers in elementary school than I did in middle school or high school.

The problem is, of course, that education system is too simplified. Person with an IQ of 90 could pass just as well as person with IQ of 140. The emphasis of education in general is ~95% about memorizing, and remaining ~5% about logic. We can conclude women are better with memory.

Actually no, girls aren't perfect (I never realised, but I think elizabeth is a feminist). It happens that generally speaking, boys tend to be more logical and concrete, which is why they are generally superior in subjects like maths and science. However, girls generally are more imaginative, which is why they do better in literacy and art.
I guess the point i'm trying to make is: NO GENDER IS SUPERIOR, THEY ARE MEANT TO BE EQUAL.

Certainly, the by-rote memorizing of the meaningless jargon and sophistry which is most of what the schools dictate, appears to be the domain of girls. Many guys are practically-minded and realize that time is better spent engaging with the physical world. (Often to their detriment). I have always tried to balance both. But girls like to hide away behind books to their detriment too.

I only play sports to win though Shrug

Per my personal experiences, it depends on individuals. Also, having high scores and good GPA does not guarantee the smartness of a specific person.

The modern school system caters to the nature of girls much more than it does to boys. Girls tend to be more quiet, listen better, and they don't have excess energy the way boys do. Boys tend to be more rambunctious, they have a hard time sitting in one place for hours on end and when they do act up, they are punished for it.
I think there are big issues with the modern school system, including the nature of how we teach our children.

Shrug Boys have much more energy than girls naturally.

Knowing your own body limits, etc. These are all empirical skills in real-world physics which are essential to engineering, and construction and most real jobs in a hands-on way that no amount of book-reading will teach. By ignoring this, and focusing on by-rote memorization of words and numbers girls end up lacking proper hard-skills which is typical of academia. Most of scholastic book-learning is false anyhow, and those that adhere to it blindly in pursuit of 'marks' only end up learning the skill of boot-licking.

Was the only girl chosen for a guy soccer team before too. But I just don't see sports important nor do they teach me anything personally. They just tire me out and make me not want to play. But if people learn from them then I'm all for it

If you don't turn in work, you don't get credit....
I worked for a high school diploma with the goal of getting into the military.
I did good on some tests but I didn't do good with my most of my grades....
